I do threaten my wife Torirat sometimes that she is so dainty and delicate that i should only let her play with sponge and crayons as she can do herself a mischief on practically anything with sharp corners.

She is somewhat accident prone, but i love her.

British fookin gas!

Moved to a new place this month, old supplier at the last house (e-on) said they'd handle the move over to them, great. Find a letter from BG today asking for £580, apparently until this is paid there is a dispute, and therefore we cannot be transferred. Checked meter readings, and I think there is a prob as we seem to have used £190 of gas in 3 weeks! I get a 15% discount with e-on, and the prices were cheaper than the BG ones to begin with. Guy from BG was about as useful as glow in the dark sunglasses, said his computer stops working at 8pm so can't help further, won't get someone to call me back and will instead send a letter, and said I'm stuck on this bloody expensive tariff til its paid.

Hope they recorded my call, was quite angry and expressed this to him repeatedly and graphicaly!

apparently, it's tradition for everyone in my department to go for breakfast over at the canteen on xmas eve.. this has been mentioned for weeks now, so i was really looking forward to it..

well, seeing as this is the rant thread, you can imagine where this is going.. yes, we all just traipsed over to the canteen, taste buds dripping with excitement, only to find a ruddy great padlock blocking our way.. the canteen is bloody well closed!!

i didn't even bring my mid-morning banana either, because i thought i would be deep-throating hot pig right about now

I'd like to rant about those 'Baby on board' thingies that people have but there's not much to say except they really farking piss me off. 'Babe on board' is even worse. Morons!
So ive been told, the baby on board sign was designed to be put in cars, just in case you have a car accident, they know you had a baby on board and to look for it if it isnt there (sad, but true fact !!) :zoidberg:

Bloody 3 technical support.
After 2 hours of phone calls, on line help and even an on-line chat with their monkeys, all I can get out of them is "we know about the fault, its quite common".
Problem: the Skypephone 1 cooks sim cards. They know about it, but won't recall the phones or offer replacements.
Fine, says I give my me PAC, and i'll transfer to another network.
No, says they, you can't keep your number.
Yes I can, It says so on your website.
No it doesn't.
Yes it bloody does!
We do not support transferring numbers.
Supervisor please!

...twenty minutes pass by...
Now i've been told they can offer me a new sim for free, but with a different number.
No good, I want to keep the old number.
That is not possible.
So I point them to the web site that says it is possible.
No its not possible.
I say "you are lying to me"
They cut me off.

Nice.

When you first mentioned doing this public-spirited path clearing I did think about pointing out that there have been occasions in the past when people have been admonished by various local authorities for interfering with the highway and had it pointed out to them that they are then liable for any injuries caused by their actions. I decided not to, in order not to demoralise you, but somebody else appears to have taken up the baton - and hit you with it. It seems that we are meant to pay people to do things that they don't do and then take the consequences of doing it for them ourselves anyway.

As somebody, whose name shall not be spoken, once said 'There's no such thing as society'. Is it any wonder?

in the olden days ppl wud clear their frontages... and a lot of them ppls up northerny places still do, I felt that I was providing a slip proof safe haven upon the treacherous road that is Oxford gardens. And to be quite frank I will continue cos I dont want to go over on my arse outside my own house ^^

Please do not interpret my response as an indication of disapproval. I do indeed applaud your public-spirited actions - if not your grammar and spelling!.

Gotta admit it sometimes irritates me, even my drunken ramblings are in proper english. I can't even remember posting the late night one in the LS thread, but it still reads proppa!
