Is something really p*ssing you off lately or do you just need to get something off your chest? Then vent your spleen here!
For me, diving footballers are the one thing that is really annoying me at the moment. For Andreas it is his former landlord.
What is getting under your skin lately? No matter how trivial it is, e.g someone on telly, or an advert or your partners bad habits, lets hear about it!! :D

British Gas sending me a letter in June to say they were sorry I was leaving them, which I had no prior knowledge of.

Trying to get reconnected to British Gas and them taking my details down wrong.

Having to call British Gas again to have the account details changes because they'd taken them down wrong.

Finally having it all sorted months later, and eventually getting the first bill of the new contract through, only to receive a letter saying "Sorry to hear you're leaving British Gas".

Having to call British Gas again to be reconnected again.

Calling EDF to tell them to stop trying to take over the gas supply without my consent, as I was told it was them both times, only for them to say they've got no record of ever trying to take over the account.

Receiving a letter from British Gas, addressed to the wrong flat, asking why I haven't paid the bill which was originally addressed to the correct flat and which I've paid.

Feeling that jimbob...been having the same situation over the last couple of months, since i moved into my new house. I called British Gas to give my old meter readings, and those from the new place. They sent me final statements saying they owed me £318 for gas, and that i owed £104 for elec. This immediately rang warning bells, as i knew my accounts were settled. I called them to ask if they could just off-set one against the other, and they claimed that the final readings i'd given were estimated. Why anyone would call and give estimated readings when closing an account is beyond me. Having spoken to about 8 different people in various departments, it transpired that the house moving dept don't share the same database as the billings dept, and so neither had a record of my previous conversations!?! One would say they did have my correct readings, the next would say that i haven't given any at all...anyway, after about 4 hours' worth of calls, i have now been told that i am not owed this money at all, and it was a system error. They seriously don't know their arses from their elbows. If they'd just said this in the first place then i'd have saved a lot of time, money and effort.

The guy on the phone said 'I can see from your account that you're leaving to go with nPower...can i ask why?'. Once i'd managed to control my laughter, I told them that i was leaving BG due to their inability to give me a simple, correct answer on anything, and for implying that i'd not actually called them in the first place. I also requested that they no longer write to me, as i'm not interested and it's a waste of paper. Since then i have received no less than 7 letters, one day saying 'sorry you're leaving', the next saying 'thanks for choosing BG', and the latest was on Saturday when the letter said 'thanks for signing up to pay by direct debit'??? This is not only incredibly frustrating and very confusing, but it's rather worrying that so many people from the same company can tell you different things and none of them actually have a clue.

i had some condescending phone calls from the company ive got a car loan saying that id missed two months worth of payments. confused, i said id look at my account and get back to them. when i checked my bank balance it was indeed true that the money hadnt gone out so i called them up, for them to tell me that id cancelled the direct debit. i said no way was this true, but if i owed them money then let me sort it out and have some words with my bank. frankly i was embaressed, and felt like a small child being reprimanded by a scolding parent. i had to pay two months worth of car loan by visa card. then they said they could set up the direct debit again as they had the details. i said fairy muff, but asked them to check the account details. they said a load of irrelevant and wrong numbers. i said that wasnt my account number. and they said its set up in the name of mrs farley. i said who the fark is mrs farley? they said, what isnt she paying your car loan? i said, what the hell are you talking about - its my frickin loan.
turns out some retard had set up a loan for poor mrs farley, got our accounts confused, cancelled my bank details and put hers in mine, so shes ended up trying to pay for my loan as well as hers because of some condescending numpty in a call centre who couldnt give two shits anyway.
twuntz.

Slow computers/programs/operating systems/internet/printers anything to do with computers that decides to crash or take forever to load on the push of a button/click of a mouse. I don't care how 'advanced' the morons who make this 'technology' claim their products are, until these things work instantly on my command then i won't be happy!!!

It's 2006 ffs sort it out! Is there anything more frustrating/tedious than a ballsed up computer and having to wait on the end of a phone whilst some IT nerd tells you to ping your router(!?)and enter a sequence of incomprehensible numbers?

Rant over. feel better now :)

Sometimes it seems like everyone's out to get you. Not only am I being harangued by British Gas, taking my ex letting agents to court etc, but yesterday I got home to find a letter from BT. I signed up with them less than a month ago, and they've somehow decided that I owe them £197!!

The only time i've used the home phone is to phone British Gas to tell them to leave me alone! I'm thinking of sending the BT bill to British Gas - let the money-grabbing arseholes fight it out between themselves..

Nothing at all...which is why i'm so confused! When you get into your house it may be worth checking with utilities companies to make sure there are no outstanding amounts that they may sting you for though. Have fun :)

Nightmare! These things do seem to come in phases. Normally of about 50 years or so.

It would seem so! What makes it worse is that until I get everything sorted out, I can't buy things to do up my new house. Very annoying :grr: heads will roll..

My gas has gone from £30 - £60 a month. I didn't realise this until i got my bank statement. When i phoned british gas they said they had sent me a letter informing me of this to which i replied 'that is utter boswolox'!

Apparently the cost of gas has gone up 47% in the last year but this doesn't reflect that centrica's profits have gone up 63% to over one and a half billion quid!!!

Obviously british gas are trying to oust ntl for the title of most useless tossers on the planet award!
