agreed. as long as they can build a sketch around with either audrey hepburn or posh in, she just about manages it. she aint the greatest, but i find myself fancying her a bit, in a wrong way.

cookie - I erm... pressed on with buying the house and kind of skipped the survey part out.

how did you manage that? i couldnt get a mortgage without having a survey done? i think my survey cost me about 400 squids

I look at it this way, the repair hopefully won't cost too much more than £1000 which sort of equals the same price of a good survey which I might of paid for telling me the house has a damp problem, as long as we don't have anything else go wrong I'm kind of even.

my survey showed up that the damp course and the timber treatment sprays in the cellar had been breached. unfortunately, this had been done by the people who owned the house before the ones i bought it from and it meant all the guarantees were void.

ive had to pay out 600 quid more to get the work redone, and it was a condition of the mortgage that it be done within the first 6 months of completion.

this was only one wall that needed tanking....not the entire house.

ill keep my fingers crossed for you.

what can i say, im a walking disaster zone, my karma is about as low as is imaginable.

dude! i wasnt that bad. i was never on report, i only ever had 2 detentions (both for not handing in physics homework in the 4th year), i never bullied anyone (other than the kid that picked on my likkle bro on the bus that one time...but then he deserved it) and i was a general all round agreeable egg.

i dunno, i guess im just not very popular up there (waves finger at the heavens ominously).

Extra holidays for workers? We've been told today that instead of our 15 days holiday entitlement and the 2 extra days given at xmas, that won't be happening this year. We will only get xmas day and boxing day off, which are bank holidays anyway.What the f**k. There's going to be all hell to pay, little do they know I have no intention of being there by xmas, but I'm all ready for the fight anyway.
