Well I know I do visit Manchester a lot but it's not to meet anyone from Corrie though 😂😂😂😂
One of its actors bought a car from my uncle, who lived eleven miles south of Manchester, many years ago.
I should be six miles south of Manchester on Thursday.

Audrey Roberts is a local lass.
Yeah , me & my workmates used to see her in the 'Old Riverside' leisure centre many moons ago.

Got a photo of hubby & colleagues in a Manchester bar , after a works 'thing' while he was staying up there. Got lots of the corrie cast on the table behind him in the photo as well. David Platt, Craig the copper, Adam etc.

... that the chargers for electric cars become dangerously radioactive over time, this seems to be due to the electricity creating a magnetic field that attracts radioactivity. Even with a new electric charger, standing at 25 feet from it for three minutes would get you the daily dose that is at the threshold of danger.

Even worse, this also happens with solar panels and the generators in wind turbines.

For some (completely unexplained) reason, this doesn't seem to happen to generators in thermal power stations or even the alternators in fossil fuel driven cars.

Phew.

I didn't want to get too involved in the 'discussion', but I thought about asking if a tinfoil hat would help in that situation.

Then I decided not to.

I've passed the end of Macclesfield's Coronation Street twice this week, along the A523 on Sunday and on the train for Stockport yesterday.
I've never known why there are far more Coronation Roads than Coronation Streets.

... "And here's another fine piece of music written by a bender".

This statement was from the slightly effete presenter of the Early Music Show that we get on Sunday morning radio here.

It turns out that it was actually by -

- whose brother was also a composer.

The presenter chap grew up in the US and, so, may not have a full grasp of Old World colloquialisms.

... as I hear most days on the radio, but it still causes a slight intake of breath.

"And now, the news, read by Shane McGowan."
I heard this again today.

The first item being "The death has been announced of the singer and songwriter, Shane McGowan".

It seems not to have been felt necessary to refer to the (very slight) potential for confusion that today's roster might have caused.

The lovely lady from the Avanti buffet announcing that they offer a click and collect service from your seat. She then said that you could make an order by using the Avanti trains free WiFi

Two problems -
1) You still have to go to the buffet to collect your order so what's the benefit of using click and collect and
2) The Avanti free WiFi has no internet connection even if you wanted to use it 🤣

I don't like the announcements mentioning their "delicious" offerings. That's for the passenger to decide.
I was on an Avanti train to London last week that Mrs Mudgie had booked but otherwise always choose London NorthWestern.
