+1 for TomI have always used Tom Sturgess for any repairs. He's always been able to fix any problem.

I have insurance with them too on my washing machine . With them for 7 years , washer was broke beyond repair but because my policy had rolled over to a new year they wanted me to pay the rest of the policy upfront before they would replace washerIt might be worth investing in insurance. I pay roughly just over £20 a month for 2 washer dryers, a fridge freezer and a fridge, through Domestic & General. I've had to call them out to my washer twice. I pay for the insurance on my sisters washer dryer, because we bought her the machine. That went wrong about a year after she had it, the parts needed alone cost over £150, then there was the fitting on top.
It was initially a bit more expensive for hers, because I didn't start the policy from new, but I think it's more than paid for itself.
If there's the rare chance the machine can't be fixed, then you get a new one to replace it.
Caveat, I have not had need to use these people yet but have heard some positive comments.

That's very useful to know.Very impressed with Appliance Force. 2 man team sorted it out the washing machine in about 25 minutes. Motor brushes needed replacing. Very reasonable £65. So would recommend
