Well, exactly. I am of the same mind, to be honest. Another motivation for the Forum upgrade was that I wanted to make sure it would be compatible with the new generation of iPads/tablets, which is clearly the way casual/social computing is headed.



I can't tell if you are being serious or not If you are, I can assure you that any donations I do get (once the donation
system is implemented) will be ploughed straight back into The Forum.

Excellent, this is exactly what I was hoping!

Deep down, none of us likes change; it's human nature. Believe me, I am struggling with this new Forum every bit as much as you guys are, if not more. However, it's purely because we had been using the same Forum since 2006, and were just used to doing things a certain way. I am pretty sure that once we have all played about with it for a while and got used to the new workflow and idiosyncrasies, we'll all start to love the new Forum and the way it works.

The flash part of the website is adverts the rest is pure hard cold code, haha its wrong for any one to describe any type of development code language as hard cold code. either way the flash is just adverts, all going well it wont be long before they get shut of flash full stop.

@ Toble - I know where you're coming from because there are parts of me that preffered the simplicity of the old forum. However, these things do grow on you over time... I've already seen a couple of gimmicks that I like about the new forum such as hovering a thread title shows the first post in that thread without opening it... very cool.
Give it time and I'm sure it will grow on you

I may be a lone voice here but I'm not sure I like the new style. I think it may be the colours but I'll get used to them.

Not liking the animated signatures either but I never have liked them on any forum I've seen them on. Find they distract for the forum content too much.
