Recently fell in love with Everclear, a 90s rock/grunge band from US. Apart from that, it's Gaye Bykers on Acid, PWEI, Alice in Chains, Hole, and anything involving Kavus Torabi. Plus stuff that I'm practising singing.

Radio 1. Counting down the hours til 5pm and wondering at exactly what point did I start wishing someone would cut Katy Perry's voicebox out.

Don't get me wrong; her current wannabeadyke song is hummable, catchy, great and I want to rearrange it for galloping bass, twin guitar harmonies and double bass drum hits. But is it *really* necessary for *every* DJ to play it *every* day? And don't get me started on the rest of the playlist.

They're playing Metallica now, apparently. It strikes me that Hetfield is like Samson; since he's cut his hair off, his voice has lost all its power.
