Yup....I'm considering turning it off though, as the constant mention of Metallica et al appearing at Reading 'n' Leeds is making me very jealous indeed!tek-monkey said:Are we all listening to R1?

Booyakasha! The Metallica set will be available to view via the red button on BBC from 6.30pm on Friday! Nowhere near the same as being there ( jchiltz), but i'm sure it will be worth a lounge-mosh anyway. Metallica was the first proper gig i went to see at the NEC in 1995...ah, the memories...dirtybobby said:watched it 'pon the tv.. lars's forehead is more prominent than ever! lol..jchiltz said:oh man, it was so good! we rocked the sh*t out of the entire weekend!Andreas Rex said:the constant mention of Metallica et al appearing at Reading 'n' Leeds is making me very jealous indeed!
I first saw them at this gig, but my first real gig was Maiden the month before For Bruce's leaving tourAndreas Rex said:Metallica was the first proper gig i went to see at the NEC in 1995...ah, the memories...
as much as i want to hate this song, i can't help but love it :shame:Wookie said:Radio 1. Counting down the hours til 5pm and wondering at exactly what point did I start wishing someone would cut Katy Perry's voicebox out.
Don't get me wrong; her current wannabeadyke song is hummable, catchy, great and I want to rearrange it for galloping bass, twin guitar harmonies and double bass drum hits. But is it *really* necessary for *every* DJ to play it *every* day? And don't get me started on the rest of the playlist.
i've had this same conversation before, and i am convinced there is a direct correlation.. happened to jon bon jovi, your man from reef, etc.. if you're a rock star, cutting hair == loss of ability to rockWookie said:They're playing Metallica now, apparently. It strikes me that Hetfield is like Samson; since he's cut his hair off, his voice has lost all its power.
It's the only song on Radio 1 that doesn't make me want to throw the radio through the wall. (I haven't got a window in my office.)dirtybobby said:as much as i want to hate this song, i can't help but love it :shame:Wookie said:Radio 1. the production on it is top notch, and the bass is awesome!
Every time I hear the first line of Place Your Hands, I'm convinced it's Graham Norton doing a guest vocal.dirtybobby said:i've had this same conversation before, and i am convinced there is a direct correlation.. happened to jon bon jovi, your man from reef, etc.. if you're a rock star, cutting hair == loss of ability to rock
