Ran my longest run ever today (20 miles) in advance of the London Marathon in 4 weeks....

For context the middle pic was Fairbourne looking towards Barmouth, the other two are between Aberdyfi and Tywyn which is an amazing and often very quiet beach other than at each end. Small car park opposite the cemetery gives access over the golf course, and allows overnight stays if you're that way inclined. Spent many a happy night there as a kid.

EDIT: Apparently I took nearly 250 photos yesterday, most of Ollie!

A reminder of how lovely the Cambrian Coast can be, though I've not been for five years.

We were going to go to Norfolk but the forecast didn't look quite as good, especially for camping.

In Cromer it was sunny intervals on Friday and Saturday and warm enough to sit outside.

Then a bit overcast on Sunday with intermittent light showers during the day followed by heavier showers in the evening and tipping down on Monday when we came back.

All in all it was a nice break and it always cheers me up seeing the sea.

The forecast for here in Weymouth was rain when I looked earlier. Despite raining on the way down ( got soaked stopping off at M5 Michaelwood services) it's stayed dry so far in Weymouth.
Really cold and blustery though. Having a meal & drinks while we are out in town now and then staying in hotel bar tonight as freezing!

Can't believe how I was struggling holding the car straight for 150 miles in the strong winds ( one downside of our light car) yet some of the cherry blossom from my neighbours trees managed to still hang on!

My favourite part of the Wemouth holiday . Best day weatherwise on Saturday. Failed to convince the owners of these beauties that I really really was under the 7st weight limit for the donkey rides 😉 , and just looked like the michelin man with millions of layers on under my coat .

Owner gave us a good talk on their life at the farm and upbringing. Invited me to come and have a cuddle ( With the donkeys, not the owner 😂 ) And at the end of the day they get to have a roll in the sand.
