Motorhome willing crack of dawn tomorrow I head to Ullswater for the weekend. Pictures to follow.

I'm feeling a bit virtuous today.
There were a few areas of the village looking a bit tatty so I went off to Penkridge market to buy some plants.
I spent an hour or two weeding and collecting leaves then did a bit of planting.

This is the village notice board before and after....

I also planted up the pot by the war memorial.

While I was working a few cars went past with a cheery wave or a toot of the horn.
Just as I'd nearly finished my hubby came by to see how I was getting on.

"By the way" he said, "did you know that every time you bend down, your big knickers are showing?"

Went to Cardiff for the weekend. Travelodge 4 or 5 mins train ride from city center. Station was about 200 metres from the hotel.
Bay area with good choice of bars, restaurants etc about 10 mins walk in other direction.

Better class of buskers than Stafford.

The felt on the porch over the shed door has suffered from fifteen years of exposure, so it was time to upgrade. After removal of it the structure seemed OK.

Some donated steel cladding was cut to suit...

...and a final bead was applied to the wall, to avoid sneaky drips.

The white thing is a bit of electrical conduit, just to catch drips and channel them into the gutter of the greenhouse.

Went to the Schnauzer Club of Great Britain Championship Show with Neo. He was placed 2nd and 3rd in the two classes we entered him in.
