That picture looks so like the "Hey, we're from Orange County" Voyager plaques.
Well, this was not a successful ploy. The weather here today was quite nice, only 5°C, but no wind - so, I got carried away outside.
The random flower beds from last year look like a lot of the stuff will have overwintered OK, but there's a lot of dead upper growth and seed-heads to dispose of.

So, I scythed it all down with a hedge trimmer - this will have shaken a lot of the seeds out for some new growth.

The shreddings were then scattered back onto the plots - this will have winnowed a few more seeds out and the next wet day will plant them for me - although, there's a few weeds to come out, so I may tread a few of the seeds in myself...
I also 'shaved' a few more borders, too, and added their debris in - this will introduce a few new varieties, hopefully. These plots will provide replacements, should gaps develop elsewhere - I hope.

All the material visible in the first picture, and about the same again, is still there in this last picture.
First time out out in a long time on Saturday, went to Carnedd Llewelyn
Beautiful piccies.
Did you take the @Tek-puppies?
This was all from my phone, still using a 3 year old P20 Pro. Held off upgrading as the camera is still better than a lot out there.Great pics, just wondered what kind of camera you use.
Our Piskie dog had problems with travel sickness when we first rescued her. The vet told us to just keep taking for shorter rides to nice walks and she'd get over it. Soon worked and she had no problems travelling hundreds of miles to go on her hols after. She did used to travel with her basket in the middle of the back seat, so she could see straight forwards through the windscreen. ( She travelled spread out in luxury, we had everything else piled on top of us ).Unfortunately not, was a bit longer than I'd want for them yet, but even then the scrambles would have been hard to get a dog safely up/down. Plus of course they can't go anywhere without vomiting, loved the chase yesterday but both sick on the way there and Mango again coming home!
Mango's limp is certainly better, but still evident. Poor thing is consigned to the lead when out for a month at least
How's you son holding up @Carole ? xThe other weekend we went off on a jaunt to Leicestershire and stayed in a beautiful campsite called Eye Kettleby Lakes.
We couldn’t get in at all last year and this time, booking late, we got the last available pitch.
We just spent the days walking to places from the site, lovely village nearby and a farm shop with a little cafe. The site itself had lovely lakes to walk around.
We had BBQs outside and just had such a lovely relaxed weekend.
The best bit was that we were only 16 miles from our Son’s pub in Leicester so obviously we went to see him on the Sunday afternoon and sat in his beer garden with his lovely locals watching the football.
All in all a top weekend.
This is one of the lakes on the campsite
