Toad in the hole!

My Mother has been in charge of tea on Sundays (it's always potato based) she hasn't yet mastered making the right amount for three people!

Last week we had enough mash for 7 - this week 5 so we're getting close (and fat!!)
Maaaaaasssshhhhhhh....nom nom nom.

Smoked slow cooked gammon, with cheesy veg....potatoes, parsnips, leeks & onion covered in cheesy sauce and extra cheese & baked in the oven....cranberry sauce on the side with the gammon for me.

Visited Gloucester Quays for a couple of hours on the way back from Bristol then into Cheltenham for a couple of hours mooching before Mrs T's 15:00 hair appointment, gave me a couple of hours downtime for a couple of pints with a book. Mrs T drove home. Marks and Sparks meal deal coming out of the oven as I type.

Finally found somewhere nice to eat out round here!! It's only taken a year and a half!

Last night I had the most amazing veggie burger at the White Heather Hotel in Turriff (1000% recommend!!)

Tonight was spicy bean chilli (back on the healthy eating band wagon!)

I used to turn my nose up at the reduced labels, thought it was beneath me. + the ex wasn't keen on the things. The majority of the meat in our freezer is now Sainsburys yellow labelled. I got some reduced price chicken breasts other night and did the sister a curry to come home to after her hollibobs.
Tonights wasn't cheap though, the pasta bake sauce seems to have shot up 50p in price, and the pasta that used to be 55p a pack is now more expensive. All eaten though, and it's same tomorrow.
