We were away for the weekend so on Saturday had a lovely curry out and after having a massive cooked breakfast yesterday too just had tomato soup and hedgehog bread for tea yesterday. I'm working a late shift today so my other half is making tea for when I get home - bean curry again! His piece de resistance!

I have just made 2 family size cottage pies and 3 family size lasagnes, 2 pots of cheesey mash, 3 cauliflower cheese and about 8 tubs of peeled and par boiled tayters and parsnips for roasting.

Also bought a whole slamon that I'm off to descale and prepare (with garlic lemon and dill) and store in portions.

All for the freezer.

I'm not sure if this counts as nesting - especialy if you could see the state of my kitchen right now but I will certainly be eating well when the baby decides to show her face!

Enjoying a drop of red.
Spagbol tonight with the wine that was left over from last night. Oh silly me, we drank all the wine last night, so we'll have to force ourselves to open another bottle... maybe...

A sort of pie with minced pork and onions and pastry top, very tasty, with chips and a meaty sauce, and the last of the bacon bits from iceland.
And the last of the suet pudding with fruit in, and cream.

I think she was having a "Empty the fridge of bits day"
Now I have no idea what it will be tomorow.

No vegetables? Surely there's a few sprouts left over? :D

Had a change of plan yesterday as I was called in to work so got a free meal :)
So partner had half the bean curry which I will rehash today with some sausages added and have it with rice.
tomorrow is chicken breasts stuffed with spinach and ricotto, green beans and garlic stuffed mushrooms
the day after I'm making chorizo and mushroom risotto and stuffing peppers with it and having it with salad.

Well it all went to pot, she's got a headache and runny nose, so it's a tinned chicken pie, mashed potatoes and gravy
and an old steamed pud found in the freezer. :(

I just realised potatoes are veg!

She did bring home some chocolate digestive biscuits, which I have hidden.

Coupla beers, home made lasagne and bottle of red tonight. Might even let Mrs Trumpet have some.

The food has gone to pot in this house, I mean it's only a cold!
Garlic chicken out of a packet, mashed potatoes heated in the frying pan, yesterdays gravy microwaved!
apple crumble out of the freezer, and cream.

Thank God I have crates of home brewed beer.
