Last night, and this evening was Tuna Pasta Bake. Didn't enjoy it yesterday, tasted awful, Jesus thingy put it down to loss of taste, he's probably right. This evening, loads better. I could taste the inch thick cheesey crust, like chewy cardboard last night.
Tomorrows culinary offering Matthew is - Spaghetti Bolognese, in an Onion and Garlic sauce, with oodles of extra garlic.

Took eldest and the Daughter-in-Law to The Bird in Hand for dinner this afternoon. D-I-L and myself both had a carvery, Eldest (Mummys Little Soldier) had a chicken and bacon burger. All lovely, except I could hardly taste a thing 😢

Late one for me, so the carer cooked. Roast pork, roast potatoes, Savoy cabbage, carrots, gravy & apple sauce

Jeasus h Christ....gochujang is a whole different kind of hell & heat. It's like nothing I've tasted before.

I can take the hottest Currys & chillies, where as the carer can't......gochujang didn't effect the carer one little bit, whereas I'm on fire......my lips, mouth, throat, tongue & nose .....streaming!

Delicious though, definatly having again.

We’ve been eating very simply this week following our usual Mediterranean diet (with a few exceptions).

Pan fried sea bass with oven cooked Mediterranean vegetables (peppers, courgettes and tomatoes roasted in olive oil.) Baby potatoes.

We cooked double the amount of roasted veg then the next night we used the roasted veg to make a pasta sauce, adding red pesto, basil from the garden and giant prawns. Fusilli pasta.

Used up the left over baby potatoes from the other night to make a home made potato salad which we had with salmon portions (microwave, 2 minutes easy peasy) and a big salad.

We‘ve really enjoyed our simple healthy meals and sitting outside with a glass of wine enjoying the lovely weather.

Can’t say that I have used it that much. I don’t find it that spicy in comparison to a Szechuan chilli oil.
I know it is becoming more popular in cooking. I do know it is a paste more than an oil and is on a par with Sriracha.

Curry heat & chilli heat don't bother me at all.....but this was really hot for me. I loved it, even though my lips were on fire 🔥 but my tummy was NOT happy today. 😠
