Thank you all for the advice. I am making the big move from Australia to Stafford later this year

Still a newbie on this forum so I'm not sure how to quote others comments yet
My reason for the big move....
During my 2 trips to UK, I honestly found Staffordordians so friendly. The locals were very helpful from Bob & Pam at Hindles Butchers/Post Office to the cashiers working at the Co-op, to the owner/s of Chris' chippy... even during my afternoon walks by the canal & Cannock Chase, I was shocked that I was greeted each and every time I walked by someone. That type of friendly atmosphere is what you see on TV e.g Neighbours LOL
Also, I fell in love with Britain's country side & picturesque scenery villages/towns. The more I read about Britain's rich history the more I love it

Welcome to Stafford Forum, granadam.Hi all, new on here so apologies if this has been asked before! Thinking of moving to Stafford, and wondering if it has a particular side that's renowned for being the best side? I.e. if there's a particular part to avoid?!
Thanks in advance!

Hello love.
There are always parts to avoid anywhere. But the parts that you might want to avoid might be the very parts that others find attractive.
So first off you need to say what you want.
For example, I live in a small community where we all look out for each other, we have lots of village events and everyone knows everyone else. suits me but some may feel that they don't want to interact too much with their neighbours. Would this be right for you?
Some areas of Stafford you can walk to town quite easily but live there for 6 years and never know your neighbour. Would this be right for you?
Some areas are a bit rough and have a reputation for being able to buy drugs. Would this be right for you.
Let the forum know a bit about you and we can find the perfect place for you whether it be in town or a village nearby.
