The pothole just before the mini islands going up Radford Bank was being filled in this morning.
Just noticed that this one has been sorted today!
The repairs are already starting to come undone. Won't last more that a week I reckon!
Because - certainly in part - local councils have had their funding drastically cut by the Conservative Liberal Coalition Government , the road situation has got so bad that local authorities have said they will now close down roads where the state of the surface becomes dangerous

Some of the comments on that site re the notoriously horrendous ASDA roundabout are very fun. On a more serious note, are there ANY plans to resurface this road that anyone knows about?

Yep and it's already coming to bits again. Might last until the end of the week...
On the subject of pot holes, it's easy- don't drive your car into them.

Why didn't I think of that before, how stupid of me!!!
I challenge you to drive around the big roundabout (island?) by Asda / North Walls without driving into any form of broken road / hole..... you'll need a hover car to do it!
I do so pretty regularly and haven't disappeared into an abyss or damaged my car yet. There is one pot hole iirc exiting into Queensway but not difficult to avoid. Why didn't I think of that before, how stupid of me!!!

Yes, I reported the one on the canal bridge on Baswich Lane yesterday on the County Council website, might be worth others doing the same! It is right where your wheels go and I think it is deep enought that it could unseat a motorcyclist. After seeing the damage my step-dad managed to do after coming off his bike due to a pothole, I thought it was worth trying to get them to do something about it, it's very difficult to avoid!
