Pot holes in roads

The snow and frost certainly has left Stafford with more pot holes than usual, they certainly disrupt me when I'm drinking my coffee and on the phone whilst driving ( joke ). On a more serious note for cyclists and bikers it must be hell.

I thought I saw some repairs being carried out, yesterday, in the Newport Road. I think it was a simple throw in tarmac and wack job.

If people can list any pot holes by naming the road and roughly where it is, then we can send the link to the Borough Council. never no they may speed up repairs.

Really bad one on bend on Holmcroft Road
North Avenue there's a few bad dips although not really potholes (there isn't a chunk of tarmac missing, but the effect is the same when driving over them)
Crooked Bridge Road, same problems as North Avenue

Theres a massive one appeared on a corner of one of the speed monsters in merrivale road, i always crawl over them anyway but someone in front of me flew over it and went with a right thud

You knows it
To be fair to the Council, they do react fairly quickly when a pot hole is reported. Although unless people report them they will just be left to get bigger! The cold icy weather plays havoc with the roads (see Corporation Street!) so get reporting them when you see them!

They have done repairs in Newport Road but there are still holes. I guess they only did the bigger holes! I would hope they are proactive and looking themselves, making proper assessments.

I forgot to mention before about a really bad one at the Eccleshall Road end of the Holmcroft Road. That's now been filled in, which is great. It's a puzzle to me though that they didn't do the one on the bend at the same time when it is only a couple hundred metres away!

Also went up Prospect Road today which I don't do very often and was shocked by the state of the road - it's the worst I've seen for a while now!

Apparently, it's possible to fix a pot-hole with a laptop.
Anyone know where I can find the software to fix potholes then?

We could save the council loads of money if we all installed it: instead of the council going out in their trucks and filling them, we could simply park up and do the job ourselves by simply holding the laptop mid-air and pressing a few keys?

On a sensible note though, why does someone have to go out with a laptop (to record data presumably). If a member of the public has reported it then why can't they go out with a truck full of tarmac and do it straight away. Surely that would be much quicker, simpler and cheaper to do?

LOADS of pot holes on Co-operative Street this morning, t'was like a minefield navigating round them. Will take more than a bit of tarmac to sort them out I think!

They've been there since the snow. The one on the bend is particuarly bad, I hit it every night.

Now come on! surely if you know it's there you could avoid it, or is your driving that bad?.....

Exactly what I say to myself every night. I'm generally in work-stress mode still, and so my head is full of other things, and it's dark, and there's parked cars either side so it's hard to swerve, and and and...

you are clearly deranged and any sane person would be wise to avoid said thoroughfare when you're tanking down it........
