Pot holes in roads

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
The big hole on the top of the canal bridge at the bottom of Baswich Lane has been sort of filled in. It's had a lump of tarmac chucked in it, obviously very quickly and not at all done properly but at least its only a small hole instead of a huge one now.

There are numerous pavements around Stafford that could do with repair. When I go out running, wherever possible and safe, I try to run more on the roads.

I used the site mentioned on here to report a local crater - couldn't really be classed as a pot hole anymore, it's since been repaired. I found the fix my street site useful as it shows other reports for the same spots!

A humongous pothole has appeared right next to the edge of the road/verge on St. Thomas Lane when you are driving from Tixall Road to Baswich Lane. It's right on a left curve and just where you need to put your inside wheels especially when there is traffic coming towards you.

Queensville roundabout by Specialized has got significantly worse these past few days, particularly heading north on to the dual carriageway. I slowed down so much to try and avoid the pot holes that I almost got rear-ended!

This roundabout has been bad for years now, does anyone know if there are any plans to resurface any time this century?

I can see that bit of St Thomas Lane from my house - I did wonder why everyone was swerving out into the middle of the road on that curve!

I started paying a lot more attention to the state of the roads and pavements round Stafford recently - so many of them really are in an appalling state...

Enjoying a drop of red.
If you want to experience the true meaning of potholes then pay a visit to Leamington Spa. Shocking state of the roads round there.

Mind you, they have little or no rush hour traffic hold ups...

Didn't notice if anyone has mentioned it, but there is a monster one down near the bit of Doxey between Unicorn gates and the new lights. We lost a wheel to it, because it was flooded and concealed.

Just hit a massive pot-hole at the same time as going over a speed bump on Corporation Street and scraped the bottom of my car with it dropping down so much

Yep seems loads more appearing, the re-surfacing job really sorted things for long around here, not.

And with loads of roadworks elsewhere happening at the moment, I doubt they'll be fixed anytime soon. you never know they could actually do something about it quick for a change, let's face it not much chance of that.
