Bet it's not as big as the bugger that appeared on the M2 recently.

Luckily, just off the edge - the chaps are looking into it..

Amey has just won the contract at SCC to look after the roads, to look after Cannock Chase and to look after Shugborough. Hail the new world of privatisation. Why do they need staff at the SCC now?

When will the world wake up to the fact that outsourcing never works and is never cost effective in the long run?
Same as using recruitment companies. Pay someone £10 an hour, or employ him via a recruitment company for £30 p/h.

The prison is looking at outsourcing at the moment. G4S is the prefered bidder. Going on their past history this will involve a load of crims escaping and the Army being called in to staff the place.

Still, it'll give them something to do once they're mopped up Somerset.

According to that link, there have been no potholes reported in Stafford.

you can report potholes online here http://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/transport/staffshighways/abouthighways/Potholes2.aspx. I've also attached the most recently reported pot holes-think i'll be filling this in as I dive over ( I mean in) at least 3 on my way to work and back!!

I've reported the craters that masquerade as the Queensway roundabout by Asda/Lammascote road heading towards the A34N. I don't suppose others would care to join me? Please! I know I'm dreaming, but maybe sheer weight of numbers might convince the Council to do something - not that I'm overly optimistic as this bit of crater has needed resurfacing for years :(

Already done, with similar thoughts in mind. If people don't complain nothing will happen.

Most of the main routes in town are deteriorating rapidly, the recent weather and (speeding) diverted motorway traffic won't have helped matters.
