Not suggesting that Strobes would be interested in a few evicted birds and great crested newts, but its all part of the same malaise.

If we allow hedgerows to be pulled up and trees uprooted without permission, where will it end, buildings demolished, fields built on etc?

So' what's the deal at the old Riverway School site, SCC were going to sell it off to help pay for Leaky towers, now their entering into a joint venture with Capita and building a training centre

The Trophy Building Era

Give a man a ridiculous title - Cabinet Member for Earth and other lost planets - and he will borrow
Millions of pounds to erect the Egostructures whilst empty buildings in Martin and Eastgate Street rot away

And then

In the morning they are gone

All that is left is the debt pile and despair.......

Does anyone know the company name of the outfit supposedly building the castle golf course extension?

The only name i can find associated with it went into liquidation in 2009.

Not that i'm suggesting there is any sleaze or scandal attached to this by posting it here, you understand.

I do wonder if there are already established reps in the area given that both Riverway and the Lionel Blair tooth fairy apartments at the top of the Faulklands Roundabout have both been scrapped

Don't despair -- Mike the Leader's latest blog assures us that the future's bright because there's going to be a Debenhams and H&M in the fantastic new shopping centre. We should count ourselves lucky, even if it hastens the decline of the main street. Two more chariddy shops opened within a few weeks. In the words of the worshipful brother of the apron, Stafford is open for business!

This picture is obviously fake. You can't seriously suggest that anyone in such a high-class town would be influenced by such a small amount of cash. Staffordians have standards, so please either remove the offensive image immediately or replace it with one showing an envelope containing a realistic three-figure sum.
