What's the latest with Homebase? We're thinking of making a trip to buy paint for our next decorating project, but if the store is empty already I don't really want to go!

Btw a notice on one of the checkouts stated that the last date for refunds was around about 5th Feb (a week before it closes)...

It didn't look very empty when I was there yesterday (Thursday) morning, buying paint coincidentally.

I brought some racking from home base yesterday. It should have cost about £70, however I only paid £40. Bargain.

There was some great bargains on the display kitchens and bathrooms. Complete bathrooms for a few hundred and there still is kitchens with taps and all appliances for between £1000 and £2000.

For Everyday stock items it will be better to wait till end of jan just before they close to get the best deals.

Went there this evening, all paint tester pots are 50p so bought various Farrow and Ball (normally £4.50). Handy for my upcycling projects. Plenty of stock left across the store
