The Range has a good art and craft department. The rest of it is a mismatch of various other stores.

Walking around Homebase yesterday, I was reminded why it's closing down. Over-priced tat most of their stuff. They really are expensive compared to competitors, and especially compared to what you can pay online. I doubt whether The Range will do much better. I think for big stuff people can and do get better value online and have it delivered, for bits and pieces Wilko and smaller shops or Ebay offer better value. I can't see that the 3rd DIY place within about 10 years on that site will do any better, but we shall see.

But The Range isnt really a DIY shop.

They sell a variety of things, its great for picture frames (better choice and much cheaper than Wilko or Dunelm).

They sell pet stuff, ornaments, bedding, they had the most amazing array of Christmas decorations this year, kitchenware, candles, lighting,.........all very inexpensive.

The ones that I have been to in Stoke, Willenhall and Telford are always very busy.
