Bought another clock today. I saw it last week but managed to resist, though it had a particularly nice case. However, I noticed today that the price had fallen by two thirds, so I relented. It looks like some potential buyer has managed to disconnect the chime spring, but it should be fixable, I hope. The time-side runs beautifully, anyway.

Pic ?

BT broadly is british owned, just my little bit of it was sold, they sold pos (till) software, I now work for the company that develops it.

Just had a phone call off a company, "Hello can I speak to Mrs ****** please?" "Speaking" "Oh hello Mrs ******, our records show that you have had 7 all inclusive holidays in the last 2 years"
I wish, never had 1 in my life! Think I deafened him with laughing.

Similar thing happened here, my employer was acquired by a subsidiary of Amazon last month, now I'm part of corporate America. Exciting.

I came into this company when they acquired my company a few years ago, meaning, my company has been acquired by a company that has been acquired by a company that has been acquired by Amazon, or "my company has been acquired by [...] Amazon". That's technically true, it'll do wonders for my résumé!

If still available I will take off your hands!! Biscuits will be provided!!

Sure, if I don't hear from @age'd parent then it's yours :)

If you mean a computer monitor... wait! cancel your order! I have a monitor I don't need any more, you can have it at no cost. I've been meaning to list it on this forum. The monitor is one of these, 24" Dell: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00H3JIGHA. I live just outside the town centre, just off the Marston road. Yours if you want it, if you can collect (I'm in all day, collect any time).

Yes please, it's fate, i just had a email that my card was declined !!
So can you Pm me your address and i will be up soon as pos

As equally exciting.

Just cut youngest spawns hair. I departed from my usual safe blunt bob just above her shoulders, which I hate on her hair as it's slightly curly, very thing and looks bloody weird cut like that. When for something shorter, followed an online tutorial and it turned out great.
Wish I could do more standing and the courses weren't full of dolly birds, I could actually go for this hairdressing lark :)

Rather nice oak case - I might put plain glass in the bottom.

I love clocks I don't collect, very tempted to, but often admire them if passing an antiques shop
Take my advice - don't start.....

I might make an attempt on the chime spring soon. The time spring should run down shortly and it'll make it easier to get it apart.

I have found paperwork in the case showing that a previous owner paid £100 in 2005 to have the same fault fixed.

Mmmmm.....?

Edit - elsewhere, I have found evidence that it was purchased, probably new, in 1982.

Lost one of the rabbits to myxi today. Was fine at the weekend, slightly pink eyes on Monday, today had massively swollen eyes and rear and lumps around her ears. Killed me but had to have her put to sleep, apparently there is a massive outbreak around Stafford and Cannock. Gutted :(

Aww sorry to hear that, I didn't realises domestic rabbits were prone to myxie thought it was just wild rabbits.

Nah, massive killer of pets. If a biting insect has bitten an infected animal in the last few months it can pass it on, generally fatal within 2 weeks of the bite. The other rabbit currently seems OK physically after his jab but doesn't like me, he saw me take lola and is lost without her. Could just be the medication, could be the early onset of myxi, but he's certainly not happy with me.

In other news I'm off to Stoke hospital to get some of my lip cut off. May try to catch some stokemon while I'm there, I hear the potteries pikachu can be found early mornings outside off licenses.
