Don't know if it has been mentioned previously, but anyone remember the cafe upstairs in Stafford Old Stafford Market hall?
I used to really enjoy that old market.

I forgot all about that and then it sprung to mind when showing hubby a photo out of a recent Newsletter of the White Lion Pub.I was describing how the road went straight past the Malt & Hops and the Sun,with Attwoods garage etc.

The Sun, Malt & Hops and The Grapes (The Grapes used to be my 2nd home and eventually met hubby in there!) used to be really good pubs years ago.
i loved the paper plates on the wall as you climbed the stairs........

You could hardly see it. And his naff curly hair. He was such a smoothie, Yeukk!!!!

I remember seeing him once in an episode of Boone. It was only a bit part, he was a DJ.

I remember when he worked in a photo processing lab we took the p*ss mercilessly. A work colleague created a 'Julian' cartoon face which appeared all over the place. We even made a life size Julian cardboard cut out and posed for photographs with it around the labs. I think it was last seen in the canteen. Oh, just remembered doing a life sized cartoon drawing on one of the darkroom walls of the Old Grey Whistle Test kicking man with the Julian face on it entitled the Old Grey Durst Test alluding to one of the machines he worked with, he wasn't impressed.

Julian's on Facebook if you ever really need a friend. His prices are quoted, but it seems that you can have unlimited apostrophes free of any charge.

Don't forget George! You'd need George back too.
As luck would have it, I spotted him outside Grigson Towers last night and tipped him off about the possibility of something similar to the old Sun re-emerging. He told me - "I've had to give up work." - which did mystify me for while, but I now presume that it meant that any new landlord could no longer rely on him to provide a fully professional glass collection service.

He may have been heading towards the Joiners' Arms, and he seemed OK to me - if, perhaps, a little frail..

anyone recall dennis 'mad' murphy from transformers?..........
'Fraid not. The big shed was another world to me, although I did go to see Grabham and Shute, which I admit to considering might be a send-up until I actually met them...

Not so 'sadly' missed but......

Anyone remember the school dentist building in Lammascote Road? The building is now occupied by Horn End nursery.

I had a change of route from town and walked past it today. Brought back some really horrible memories of my childhood visits to the dentist. They used that place for the trainee dentists and they scared me of the dentist for life!!!!
