The person who inspired me to investigate veganism, having been a Vegetarian for 30 years, has gained about 3 stones since I have 'seen the light!' I have not increased at all. I am sure he has not been cheating, he's more strict with his interpretation of the code. If stuff is put to definitely thrown in the bin, this flagrant disgrace of NOT wasting consumable stuff, when half the world, (or more?) suffers food poverty, while the richer part of the world gains weight, while gorging .

SO,YOU CAN BE A FAT Vegan!.You do have to eat an awful amount of crisps, pizza & chocolate of course!
Oh yes, I can agree with that.Or possibly a diabetic - both insulin and metformin can cause you to put on weight.

I had a wellington, along with a vegan crown, it was delicious and it carried over to Boxing day, too.
I didn't miss eating parts of a turkey.

I will be cooking X mas dinner this year for 9, a mix of meat eaters, 1 vegetarian and vegans. It will be a traditional roast of turkey and trimming.
I will probably use supermarket x mas offerings for vegan mains and sides. Would be grateful to hear what our vegan forumites would suggest
Does anyone have any decent recipes for a vegan gravy. I have done a veggie gravy with mushrooms, veg, marmite and worcestershire sauce with some success but need to find suitable vegan gravy.
