Went there last night with bambino included. Very friendly staff, was fairly busy and we had no probs with the order and service. Food was really nice, wife had Korma, she loved it and I had a Jalfrezi, was really tasty if a little bit on the oily side. Had 3 pints of cobra, really nice on their draught, not crappy like in some restaraunts. Overall would recommend, hope it continues to grow and become popular and sticks around.

Choice between this place and the Narvana place then? Which is better? And for those that know, is it better than London House in Eccy?

Apologies for going a bit off topic here, but did you think London House went through a bit of an 'off' period a couple of months ago?

I can't say I did. I probably eat there or get take out once or twice a month so entirely feasible I missed any "off period". I would say the last 2 takeouts have been first class though - since I discovered the House Special Jalfrezi.

I've not been since the opening night where it was a set menu, so can't comment as far as how it compares to anywhere else that I've eaten and ordered what I like. I have heard from quite a few people that they've been and had a great meal....the only complaint I've heard is that someone said it was "over-spiced". If that's a complaint about a curry shop, then I'm there!

London House for 'eat inns' Tandoori Kitchen for takeaways, oddly enough I know two people in Stafford that also have their takeaways from Tandoori Kitchen and eat regularly at London House.

Went Deshi Khana for a works night out and I must say the whole experience was first class. We were greeted by two extremely friendly and polite staff who showed us to our table. The first thing I noticed was the tasteful decor and it was obvious the owners wanted to create a traditional "family" feel to the restaurant which added to the evening. The waiter who showed us to our table was the perfect host all evening and he was extremely attentive without being "over bearing". His knowledge of the meals on the extensive menu was excellent and made suggestions to us to suit our various tastes. The meals were all served promptly and I thought my choice of Special Mix Bangalore was delightful and despite previous comments posted was "spiced" perfectly. I would recommend this restaurant to all and we all came away thinking it would be the perfect choice to our Christmas night out. I would suggest all that have commented without visiting go and experience Deshi Khana and then leave their comments after.

Decided again to visit Deshi Khana following our recent works night out this time with my family. Again the evening was really enjoyable and the standard of both the service and the food was excellent. We def chose the right time to go as we took advantage of the current jubilee offer which meant we received 20% off our meals. This offer is running all through half term until Sunday 10th so we have booked in again on Sunday!! I feel already I'm becoming a regular!! Again any one who hasn't tried this new venue yet I would def recommended it

Been past tonight and the place is in utter darkness. Have they reduced their number of nights per week?

Seems like it's always intended to be closed on Mondays...

Giving them a go tonight, will report back.
Deshi Muroog Masala looking favourite, from the menu description it sounds like how my old fave years ago did Tandoori Murgh Massala.

How do I edit this?
Tried this last night & we were quite impressed. The food was at the expensive end of Stafford's Indian restaurants, but was very good. There was only one other couple in when we arrived and they left before we finished but the way the place was set out meant this wasn't massively detrimental to the atmosphere... Licensed bar with Cobra on tap & Wormella was even given a rose when we paid our bill, which pleased her greatly.

Went on Friday night and were the only couple in, nice warm welcome and the waiter picked up on Mrs T's comment about how it had turned a bit chilly out so he turned a radiator on and sat us by it.
Thought the decor was a bit uninspiring but the food was spot on, my half chicken was well tasty as was the sauce, Mrs T's pasanda hit the spot too.
Complimentary poppadoms to start and a rose at the end were nice touches.
As Goldilox said, not the cheapest but well worth the couple of extra quid, we'll defo be back.

Four of us paid a visit on Saturday, nice to see a few more punters in. Food again was spot on. The couple we took, although not curry regulars also thought the food and service well worth the money.
