Popped in last night and it was pretty busy which is good to see. Food was fantastic as always.

Anyone know what's happenning here? Walked past it this morning after i'd finished my night shift @7.30am, all the downstairs windows are covered over in newspaper?

We were in Sat night...large table to the right of the door coming in....

First time we had been based on the reviews here and I had to say we were quickly dissapointed in the atrocious service.

Drinks weren't asked for, the whole place was like an oven, so much so we had to prop the front door open and our food took an absolute age to come...

Then they told us the Cobra had run out, but confused us by saying we could go to Sainsburys to get our own or buy their bottles. Then they said they had no bottles. A quick run over in the middle of the meal to Sainsburys and we had Cobra for £1 a bottle. Great. But everyone else in the place continued to get Pints of cobra taken to their table.

Overall the food was good - cheese naans immense but service was nothing to be pleased about....

3 out of 5 I would say!

We were in from about 7.45 to 9.15 ish, right hand corner by the kitchen door. Had no Cobra or service problems.

It's definitely still open...just been past and there are a couple of blokes attempting to put up a 'Book now for Xmas' banner. Must have been doing a bit of painting yesterday as it was their day off.

Yea, saw it was open last night, I was in bed for the rest of the afternoon after my post, so cba post it later. It always look dead tho.

Very odd about the service/beer... we thought it was bizarre, we weren't rowdy or anything like that or annoy them, just normal punters.... they struggled with their english with some of the people serving us which also didn't help with the problems....

any how, good food just wished the service was a bit better... :)

Well I have visited this place for 3 consecutive Fridays. Have enjoyed the food. But check your bill. I ordered 2 plain roti ( a flat bread ). These came to £5.90 for the two. Proprieter was very unforgiving and I know that this type of bread, commonplace for many who enjoy Asian food is literally as cheap as chips. Very very disappointed, particularly with the proprietor. Shall NOT be visiting again

This is not an a order sir because we are normally closed on Monday so for festive season we have change to open 7 days .so please you can book you're Xmas and New Years party's at Deshi Khana.

I went for a meal with a friend on 09/01/13, have to say I was very disappointed with the food. I had ordered a tandoori mix grill, unfortunately the food was so burnt I was unable to distinguish which meat was each item. My friends meal was garnished with half a raw onion around the edge of plate, and he said his meal was ok, but nothing brilliant. This is a shame as it as definitely put me off this restuarant now, and will be sticking with my preferred indian restuarant
