Are there still roadworks by the new Aldi because I might have to travel to Stafford in the next few days.
Lichfield Road southbound is currently totally stationary - in ten minutes all I achieved was enough space to U-turn, abandon the job and come home.

Don't go near it.

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Took me over 20 minutes to get through the lights at 6pm yesterday. Two hours later it took me 10 minutes.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Delay times vary depending on whether the tosser that manually changes the lights is awake, on the phone or doing his job.

Tesco's off the Newport Road is currently a bit of a night mare whilst they are resurfacing a large area of the car park.

I got to the bottom of Radford Bank earlier and the lights were on red. 15 minutes later they were *still* on red.

I was stuck for 15 minutes at 7.45pm this evening, I was at the front, yippeee! the light turned green and another 8 bloody cars came through from the opposite direction! :grr:

My abortive attempt at Lichfield Road today was slightly brightened by the fact that the very helpful signs on the railway bridge are still there.

Cyclists use footpath.

(20 yards later)

Footpath not in use.

You probably saw me walking past with my chips then :D Problem is, Silkmore lane traffic fills up any available spaces at the island when the traffic by Aldi does start moving. (Saw a couple of cars go as though turning right down Silkmore lane , but going around the island instead to jump the queue.)

I noticed that as well. Luckily I was already on the other side.

Walking back from town, the lights went to green for outward bound trafffic as I was at the end of Silkmore Lane. The traffic was still coming through those green lights as I was half way up Radford bank. Did think to myself at the time the bloke controlling the lights must have dozed off .

Do the Roadwork fairies all collude to bring things to a halt?

Roadworks on Black heath lane to patch potholes, combined with a lane closure on Baswich lane by Tilcon Avenue to cut hedges. So on the way back to work I decide to go via Milford to avoid Baswich lane, roadworks on Milford Road!!
