Holmcroft Road/Stone Road junction traffic lights causing chaos tonight Northbound by only remaining on green for 6 seconds - queues back down to Curry's. The Lloyd's roundabout switching of which road is closed this morning isn't helping either, Alliance Street was gaining in popularity as the main cut-through tonight.

I believe the overnight closures of roundabout have started tonight too.

Looks like it, the 101 bus went via Gaol Road, Sandon Road and then Beaconside to get to the A34 tonight.
I was dropped off at the top of Parkside Avenue so had a shorter walk home than usual

Are they using Alliance Street to cut across from the Stone Road to the Isabel Trail? How very dare they? Is this allowed?
Makes sense though as there's no traffic and only children playing in the street to dodge

When I check the ’Traffic’ thread I keep noticing references to ‘Alliance Street’. Am I correct in thinking this has taken on a similar kind of significance to ‘Mornington Crescent’ in R4’s ‘I’m sorry I haven’t a clue’ ?

But if you drive down it (like most right-minded Stafford folk at the moment), you could get some angry woman shouting 'Get orf my street' after you.
She'd run after you as well but can't because of all the selfish residents round there who park on the pavements and cause an obstruction...
