But it has 'an efficient, reliable drainage and flood management solution'
https://www.grafuk.co.uk/kingsmead-car-park-stafford/

This is just lies. .

"Kingsmead car park in central Stafford is located next to wetlands and sits partially on top of a natural flood plain. It was previously home to a council-run sports complex and swimming pool. "

Someone needs to take their lies and inefficient product back to them!

It's not all lies it talks about the site formally being a swimming pool as it has been for the last two days :)

Why is it referring to Riverside when the title is Kingsmead car park?

I noticed on the electronic signs that Doxey road is closed from 27 Jan- 18 June. Not sure if that's a mistake on the sign or not.

Anyone know what the Roadworks warning signs are referring to, up on the A34 by the industrial estate, on the lead up to the Premier Inn roundabout and The Shire Horse?? They have been erected this week and advise of works that start from the 18th February all the way till December 2021, "delays possible"???

I believe it has been moved twice since the original scheduled closing and now closes on Tuesday 2nd. At that point there will be a proper diversion that eventually goes via Unicorn Way, the new road the other side of Doxey bridge.

This is either the works to to add an extra turning (into the fields/house estate) at the Redhill Business park junction or it's the roundabout for the Pets-a-home warehouse

EDIT: its the housing estate

Many of yours, and Tilly's, posts are anti government and critical of the establishment in general ,even though they are doing their best in these exceptionally trying times

This government ARE NOT doing their best. If they were, there wouldn't be over 100,000 dead from Covid-19 and £billions wouldn't have been spaffed into the coffers of their best buddies at the same time.

Remember when 20,000 deaths would have been a disaster? Or when Boris ignored advice and lead the virus spread like wildfire numerous times before eventually giving in and doing the thing he was called to do anyway?

How anyone can think the government is “doing their best” baffles me. If they were doing their best we’d probably be back to semi-normality now as we’d have no cases being imported, lockdowns would have been at the correct times, and mask wearing, etc would have been better enforced.

The only thing they’ve done their best at is spaffing money up the wall for their mates. They’ve been really good at that.

Only reason we’re kicking ass with the vaccine rollout is because they put in someone actually qualified to manage it.

Wait... wrong thread

Well, I am prepared to believe that the government are doing their best.

It's just that their best is buttock-clenchingly piss-poor.

And they know that they will never be held to account in any meaningful manner.
