Another tree gone!

I notice a whole load of the only mature trees near that monstrous new housing estate opposite parkside have been destroyed. Apparantly it's to make the road a dual carriageway. They were beautiful trees as well :(

The car drivers are already moaning about the disruption the road works that the new road lanes will require. Couldn't make it up - the Hypocrites.

The trees down the side of Sainsburys / the back of the GEC site have been felled too, think a mobile unit might also have been taken down ?

Good riddance to em, you can buy perfectly good plastic trees nowadays.
Almost realistic an all.

There's been some 'pruning' up at Junc 14, or Conker Island as my youngest once called it.

Once J13-16 is done, it will be 'smart' motorway all the wast from J2 up to J19. That's a long way.

Can't wait for the smart motorway. It means I'll be able to drive all the way at 69-5mph in lane 1 while everyone else is doing 59 in lanes 2 & 3.

Or alternatively plough into a car at speed, broken down on the carriageway where there is no hard shoulder.
That's one of my biggest worries when I go from Stafford to Birmingham. No hard shoulder and I'll hit someone broken down cos of no hard shoulder.

How do I edit this?
