My two year old daughter was one of the children in the car - they were being looked after by their childminder. The childminder has been suspended and is currently on police bail pending further investigations. Both children are safe and well, completely disgusted that my child was left unattended for this amount of time.

Gosh, TJL, that is terrible! I really hope your daughter is OK. :o

Welcome to The Forum though; you'll find all manner of support here. :)

So glad that both the children are safe and well.
It's terrible that you leave your children with a childminder, thinking they are taking good care of them, and then discover that they are capable of doing that !

My goodness. I'm pleased to hear she is well.
Children are a gift and blessing and never understand why some people would knowingly put children in such danger.

Hope you're doing ok too, it must be a living nightmare for you.

No she lives in Heath Hayes - does anyone know what she actually got arrested for, I was told she was attempted to steal a loaf of bread but can't understand why they would arrest her for that.

The news article says she was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting initially and then later on suspicion of child cruelty, I'm surprised this wasn't divulged to you.

I know, completely shocked me as I have known the lady in question for twenty years so it never entered my head that she would willingly put my child in danger.

We were informed about the theft but they are unable to confirm exact details at present, I just want to know what the hell she was thinking leaving my baby girl alone and why she didn't tell anyone they were in the car when she was given a number of opportunities by the police.
