Grabbed a BK on the way home from Devon yesterday - reminded once again how much I'd love to have one in Stafford! Do we REALLY need two McDonalds?? Swap one!!

Although I cannot claim to be any kind of expert in burger matters, tending only toi use burger joints as a 'quick fix' when travelling. There used to be a chain in the Manchester area called The Canadian Charcoal Pit. Better than Maccy D's or BK in my humble opinion.

Thats the thing though, they all seem to be keeping their own network. The o2/voda merger will only see the tower usage merge, the companies are keeping very much to themselves. Then there are all the virtual operators like virgin and talkmobile, they don't even have a network! Then we have places like carphone warehouse, who just pimp anybodies phones.

Its all a load of **** really, they have to stay seperate because of the monopolies whatsit. If only three could use other peoples networks, as they are consistently cheapest for the phones I want but have sod all coverage at my house.

That was news in 2006. lol

My Galaxy Ace is on 3. I've only ever found 2 places where I couldn't get a signal. One was in a dip in the middle of the Wyre forest (back to full signal once we came out of the dip), the other was in my parent's old house where you couldn't even get a signal on Voda....

To stay on topic a bit more, BK for me are most definitely the "best of a bad lot" taste wise at least. I would also agree that a few less phone shops and coffee chain shops would be a boon to Stafford (which by the way, doesn't have a high street, to be pedantic. lol).

As to teleporting back to the 50s, still laughing at that one. I am right in assuming it was meant as a joke? I really can't see you getting on too well with a return to chauvenism and been told a woman's place is the kitchen.... ;) Oh and your comment about shoving something in your "gob" shattered any remaining idea anybody might of had that you were posh. You hate seeing people eat in the street, I hate people calling a mouth a "gob". Shudder.

Ade,
No I am not posh at all but I can behave like a lady at times.

You are right about it being common calling a mouth a gob, and for the that I apologise. Let's call it a tempory blip of standards.

About living in the 50s......it is a bit like that in our house actually and it's no joke that I am a bit like a step ford wife.

Mr hothouse goes to work. I stay at home and have a nice home cooked meal on the table when he gets in. All his shirts are always washed and ironed. I bake cakes. I clean the house and do the garden. He pays he bills and washes the car.

A bit outdated for some but it works for us.
