Hi All,

Hope you are well.

Is the anyone on the forum who would be interested in playing the violin or something similar as background music at my restaurant at weekends, say between 7-9pm? Just to give that special touch to the diners.

From the outset I have always said I am not a lover of live music, however some of the diners have suggested live, gentle music would go down well, in the dining area.

I am quite happy to pay an agreed hourly rate etc.

If there are any suggestions or ideas, which will help me make this business a success, please advise me.

I have to say that everytime I've walked past recently the place has been rammo, and there's a new menu with loads more on than just steaks. May give it another whirl this weekend.

Went in for a beer with MyCult last week, wasn't too busy but was a monday night. Beer was good, and they've got a damn foxy waitress. Not tried the food yet though.

For the past two years I have drank at the Castle Tavern and can honestly say that the pub has improved greatly since Ashley took over. He is always welcoming, his staff are always pleasant. We have tried the food on a couple of occasions and would not hesitate to bring friends or family members for a meal there. The prices are reasonable and you cannot see your plate with the amount of food that is on it. (I asked for a medium steak and it was just right). Well done Ashley, keep up the good work!!!!

Went here for the first time t'other night and can honestly say it is the finest steak house on the quadrant!

Good value and good food, Very very friendly service too. As Arnie once said 'i'll be back'.

lol, thats kinda up to Ashley I think!

Not sure what features I will add yet, but certainly some way to comment on meals had, lists of upcoming events, that kind of thing. They could even do a loyalty card, bit like the Holly Bush does, but anything involving prices will be entirely at their discretion. Some sort of suggestions box may be useful too, is there a sort of steak/other animal you'd like to see? Maybe get him and the butcher on Sandon Road together (John is it?) and get some exotic food nights on!

All just ideas at the minute, need a proper meeting with them to decide what we'll do, but any suggestions welcome. We'll just make what they want, but as they need to make what the customer wants I thought I'd ask you all. Especially as half of you seem to live within 5 minutes walk of the place!

well, technically a 2 and half hour train journey away...but only 10-15 mins from the folks when i visit!

Just looked over their menu, and found their Chicken Supreme. Its a chicken fillet, stuffed with haggis and topped with bacon and a whiskey sauce. OMG, I'm there!

Agreed...top notch! I had the Chicken stuffed with Haggis with Whisky Sauce and it was absolutely delicious. Top marks Ashley and staff. Oh, and special thanks to the very generous chap with the group sitting next to us...they'd ordered too much food so gave us a whole rack of ribs to eat as a starter!

this has just sold it for me.. i can't believe there's a place in stafford that does ribs! get in
