Both principal neighbouring households are now locked away, as she discovered when she asked the one that was still thought to be 'free' to drop some milk at some point.Lad nextdoor in Ireland home for the weekend and notified that he is a contact from a confirmed case, as a result of a car journey a few days ago.
Household confined for a fortnight to see if he brews up.
Confirmed case was detected in Austria.
most shop assistants will be out there for as much overtime money they can get whilst theres a chance to cash in.
Not on the same level as emergency services by any stretch of the imagination.
I have quite a bit of loo roll (I always buy in 36s) and I don't think I'm that far away from you. I could deliver you some tomorrow if you need. I'm still in the office today so can't do it til then.
I walked past a butchers and greengrocers yesterday. They had lots of food. I think everyone is going straight to the supermarkets and forgetting that local shops will be very well stocked.Lucy that’s a lovely offer! I got 4 rolls this morning from a shop right out in the sticks! Should tide me over for a couple of days. Thank you though!

Just to round this one off, my daughter's got herself back into Canada.Just spent an "interesting" last 12 hours or so trying to help my daughter extricate herself from Belize.
Initially she was trying to bring her flights back to Canada forward 7 days to this Wednesday at no extra cost. When it seemed likely she'll have to pay again, the options opened-up a bit and she's now booked herself on another airline.
Now she's worrying about the queues at US airports - she's going via Houston. Hopefully the checks won't be as stringent a) because she's not stopping in the US, and b) because the region she's come from isn't "high risk" and the authorities will be concentrating on checking travellers from Europe rather than Central America.
Fingers crossed.
Not everyone has a choice whether to work from home, some people just get up in the morning and get on with it.
I personally am extremely grateful to everyone keeping it together at the moment.
Let’s face it, if the shop/supermarket workers decided en masse, to put their own health first instead of their job and didn’t turn up for work then we’d be in a bigger mess than we are already.
No food on the shelves, doesn’t bear thinking about.
These workers have no idea who they are in close contact with on a daily basis: possibly virus carrying, germ riddled public, touching stuff etc.
I’d like to thank each and every one of the shop workers for doing a great job in difficult circumstances.
I've spent the last hour or so gathering up the Ibroprufen, that's now all in a box behind the general medicine, the problem I now have is that I didn't panic buy and when I did decide to get a few supplies ibuprofen was pretty much all that was left in the shops, now I'm back to square one and on the hunt for Calpol.
As there were no boxes of paracetamol left (at Wildwood Co-Op), we grabbed a couple of boxes of Lemsip. There were painkillers that contain paracetamol such as co-codamol, anadin extra and panadol in Greengate Street Superdrug this morning. Not sure if these are ok with the virus or not.
