He's always struck me as being the sort that has a little end...As long as the big end hasn't gone.
All the tests our pharmacy has been giving out since about September have been Antigen tests instead of the old ones I used to have.Ordered one box of Lateral Flow Tests last week and they sent two boxes of Antigen tests.
There's an instructional video hereGot a letter yesterday from the NHS about a survey being compiled to gather data. Was I prepared to volunteer ? I went online and filled in the details and now they're going to send me an 'RT-PCR' test for me to self administer.
I have never had a COVID test !! I haven't had COVID to my knowledge ... (given my age and health issues I figure I'd have noticed.) Anybody here have any experience with an 'RT-PCR' test then I would appreciate any advice on what is in store for me. Will I need to retire to my study to do it ... (in case it goes wrong? .... and I have the option of eating my gun. )
(For the pedantic the last bit is a joke. Guns taste horrible anyway. )
I had one , as part of a trial I was taking part in from Imperial College London in the 1st lockdown when the tests were not long out.Got a letter yesterday from the NHS about a survey being compiled to gather data. There's a saying we used to have at sea, and I suspect many other trades have it too ........ RTFM.......
Then read the important bit last .....instructions not to do it until I'd arranged a time for the courier and then do it just so many hours before handover........ Luckily the courier came within the alloted time limit , Phew !
......
All LFT tests, past and present, are Antigen tests - rapid ones. All the tests our pharmacy has been giving out since about September have been Antigen tests instead of the old ones I used to have.
Used a bit differently , only have to swab your nose and not your throat as well.
Results after 15 minutes , instead of the older 30 mins .
I had to get a code off the NHS website last time to pick-up for each person, to be handed to pharmacy before they hand any over ( so that they can record whose having them now as lots are getting wasted.)
Gave me 2 boxes for each person/code
I think the confusion is just the difference in the box design and the greater prominence that's given to calling them Antigen tests on the new ones. All LFT tests, past and present, are Antigen tests - rapid ones.
Pharmacies have been restricted via the code system as they get paid for each box handed out.
I know! XD I'm 38 in January.Over 40s can now get a booster. So close...
