I had been told of previous staff dos that they throw, John splashes the cash to make sure everyone has a good time
Hmm well it's not exactly his money he is splashing about is it, he will get caught one day red handed, how it gets resolved is a different matter.

My pet hate with them is they say one thing and then say another, like with their job adverts they make out you get a basic plus commission, but then tell you at the job it's coms only.
They've also got a new website up and running called BD UK, apparently if you type it into Google it's the first hit on the page

Unfortunately, a collegue of mine got involved with this shower of twats.

He got a phonecall in June, and agreed to switch with a "12 month contract including free local and national calls, and unlimited broadband, all for 29.99. Price guaranteed not to rise for 36 months"

Never received any literature, invoices.
No broadband for the first couple of months - Dodgy router arrived at this time. It has never worked correctly and is an old out of support unit.

Invoices arrived last month (Dec 15) and this month (Jan 16) for crazy high amounts (with call extras loaded onto him also).
Direct debit mandates (several different mandates) have been lifted from his account on several (recent) occassions for different amounts again.

He has requested billing information and acontract/ terms twice a month, every month from June.

Numerous phonecalls been made to Together Telecom with no success on any request.

As a business owner, he relies on his current number (which he has had for 25+ years).

Any advice on how to get away from these people with minimum impact?

OK, on a more helpful note. Ombudsman, ofcom (pretty useless but lodging the complaint can't hurt), signed for solicitors letter followed by a small claims court summons. They will never go to court, they are spineless parasites, so you will win.

Id be tempted to travel down to their office and start turning tables and knocking heads together. It almost got to that stage with virgin media for me. For over a year they had been charging me for somebody else bundle, around £50 a month and just didnt want to give me the money back once i found out. Took over 20 phone calls to get sorted and over 4 months. Was lied to had phone put down numerous times, told the cheque was in the post etc. I sypathise with you. It makes you soo damn angry dealing with people over the phone who think they can just take the piss out of you.
I have had so muh trouble with Virgin Media and it does take ages to sort out and they do hang up ... they did it to me 3 times in one day and when I complained they said, "Nobody hung up on you, it couldn't happen!" It's so bad ... If I need to ring them I have to get psyched up for days before I can deal with it. That irritating bird on the answer machine drives me scatty .."we now haaaaave 5options for yooooooooooooo... Ok bills and paymeeents id iiiis ... Just so you know if you need information on something you've NEVER heard of, you can visit our website at dabble u dabble u dabble u dot ....aaaaargh!

I'm sorry but you do realise how hard it is to actually get a job nowadays? I've applied for 100s of jobs and I get nothing back, mainly because they want "experience"
So I'm sorry if I've offended you by working somewhere that's run by crooks, but at least I've jade a decency to join this forum and actually tell people how it is, so before you have a dig at me for it, read previous comments cause I'm not the only one who's worked there!
You don't know what that work place is like, so unless you can enlighten us all about it then please go ahead, but until then I'm here they voice what I know about that place and help people who have been victims of these crooks.


What a loads of pity me drivel you write. What a martyr you portray yourself as. The reality will be somewhere nearer that you couldn't care less about the real victims in this - people with a business who get trussed up like an xmas turkey. I bet you were quite happy to lie on the phones to them so long as you got your commissions for blagging them into a deal. Now because you haven't got paid your happy to portray yourself as a victim. At which point did you realise you were lying to punters after a fortnight ? a week ? 3 days ? or more likely within your first hour on the phone.
Fact is that the place is notorious for its shady dealings and anyone who works in that environment is more than likely a little bent themselves.
Oh and as for yourself you claim you started in December they closed on the 18th then you went back after xmas and were off ill a week and a half. I'm glad you don't work for me, your attendance would raise concerns with me. then again I am one of those horrid people who live in the real world.
People can have sympathy with you for not getting paid but there is something distinctly odd about your story that lends weight to the suspicion that things only came an issue to you when you yourself got ripped off. My synpathies are with the real victims NOT those that are complicit in the fraud.

Jeez BD UK is a government website

It stands for broadband delivery United Kingdom
Broadband is a type of internet connectivity method (others being ADSL, satellite etc)
UK stands for United Kingdom (its the part of planet earth where you live)
Are you sure your not John Plumb having a laugh on the side ?

Just curious, what made you join the forum amy? Your only posts are about Atlas, most are to berate QueenG, but none say you are/were a customer/staff member of Atlas and I don't get the impression you are local (to the forum). Seems an odd forum to join unless you were specifically searching for Atlas, but then you'd have mentioned why?

Regardless, for any newbies here, Plumb is a tosser and will steal your money but remember he is spineless and will not go to court.

Quite right I searched for Atlas these gits ripped off my sister and tried the phone number to ransom routine. It got sorted and they didn't get any money though she is pursuing her own claim against them. As regards berating Queen G your right I think people that work there are pretty much bent. She replied I reply to her and I have no issue with telling her what I think about her.

If you are either then you are one of the liars that shafted my sister who has worked hard putting in around 80 hours a week to build her business up. Only for parasites like Atlas (and that includes its lying scumbag staff) to try and hold her to ransom over the phone number.Just looking at your posts suggest that you are complicit in this you didn't simply walk away did you when you realised it was suspect you carried on and went back !

Dodgy telecoms company Altas Business Services / Atlas Telecom - it's been 18 months since I managed to rid myself from the dodgy telecoms company Atlas Telecom / Atlas Business Services, but the anger is still raw. They are scammers and should be avoided. Don't put your business at risk by allowing Atlas Telecom to gain control of your telephone number and/or broadband. You will regret it.

I've been in dispute with Together Telecom for some time now after they decided to charge more than twice what they promised me for business lines and broadband.
I asked BT to take over the lines etc, and have just got a call from TT wanting over £7K in cancellation charges - can they really do that even though they were the ones that initially breached the (verbal) contract ?
