Ultimate twatish behaviour Tuesday.

Coming round past the leisure centre and towards Asda, where the usual tomfoolery happens when the guy in the left hand lane decides to keep going straight instead of keeping in his lane. A white Hyundai 4x4 / Crossover thing does exactly this............ wait for it.... cutting inbetween our funeral car procession me being in the car behind.

i hope he felt like a right idiot travelling all the way up the Wolverhampton road stuck between to black cars.

Think there might have been a letter missing out of his numberplate...................

On the day of my Dad's funeral a range rover overtook our funeral car and the hearse to beat us to a red light! Some people defy belief!

I can't believe how many people can't be added to use headlights in the current foggy mornings. Muppets!

Absolutely fuming this morning..... driving my little girl to nursery down the Weston Road just past the Morris Man towards the Uni and a <insert very strong expletive here> in a big lorry carrying a load of pallets on the back comes towards me well over the white line onto my side of the road, glanced up whilst swerving out of the way and saw him busily looking at his phone texting or whatever....

Annoyingly didn't have chance to get a registration plate or any markings on the truck, too busy trying to get out of the way.

Is sending a text or checking your phone really worth causing a head on collision for and potentially killing people!!!

sorry if i've misunderstood, but do you mean the lights by the rear entrance to asda? where there are 3 lanes and a set of traffic lights?

click for google streetview

if so (and again, sorry if i have misunderstood but) it sounds like you are in the wrong here.. like you say, there is "tomfoolery" here every day, because some people who want to go into the right-hand lane that bears left (i.e. lane 2 of the 5 lanes immediately ahead) seem to think that they should be in the middle lane at these lights.. that seems to be what you are describing above..

if you want to go left (e.g. to asda, or into the right-hand lane to go out the wolverhampton road) then you should be in the left lane at these lights..

if you want to go straight on (e.g. into town, past the police/gatehouse/etc.) then you should be in the middle lane at these lights..

if you want to go right (e.g. out the dual carriageway to saino's) then you should be in the right lane at these lights..

the roadmarkings clearly say if you want the A449 (wolverhampton road) then you should be in the left lane, but people seem to be oblivious to this:

i used to have to go this way home from work, and at least twice a week i would have to deal with some moron in the middle lane trying to get round into the wolverhampton road lane.. i have to admit, i did take smug pleasure in holding my ground and forcing them to angrily hang back to get in the right lane or, on a few magical occasions, actually force them to go into town lol..

Noooooo, I think Wildwoods in about the very front of Asda, just round to the left of your pic........some knob in the left hand lane always decides they need to change to the middle lane without indication or warning, despite there being clear markings for the right hand lane to filter into the middle lane & not the lefties!....

A couple of nights ago I wished I had a dash can on board. Roughly two miles from car park to front door and experienced crass stupidity and totally inconsiderate behaviour. Cutting up, blocking junctions and box junctions, running red lights, using feeder lanes to push in rather than feed in. Time to start switching between bike, walking and car. The only thing that stops doing that now Is restriction due to some injuries.
Its time to set up river taxis!

Not an example of poor driving but poor cycling - the Stafford Road Club time trial idiots were out on the A449 on Wednesday. When they reach roundabouts they utterly refuse to obey giving way to the right or to even slow down slightly on approach regardless of other vehicles. They seem to value 3 seconds off their time more than their own lives. If they don't want to stop, then they need to organise their trials properly and pay plod to stop the traffic - not just expect everyone else's ABS to be working.

Driving to town early today I encountered what must have been Stafford Road Club cyclists up at Weeping Cross doing their time trials. Absolutely no consideration for other traffic on the road!

Bloody nutter in a white sports car racing around Wildwood ringroad tonight about 5pm, well over 70mph . Thought he/she was going to lose control and mow us down on the pavement. Going so fast we only got the last bit of reg , think it was LFD.
