She seems to do a lot of good for the town. Lorraine I mean
More like wannabe lord of stafford......

Has to the main focus...

Some sort of no mummy attention when younger or something :/

I'd prefer to talk to "crackhead" becky in town #1 Queen of stafford.

Wandered into town not realising it was the reopening today

Funny looking “local” stalls though

Edit: upon closer inspection it is better than I thought, at least. Not as bad as it usually is for sure.

This is the thing that bugs me most about Walking Street and events like Slab Fest. They should be an opportunity for local folk to get more business, not for traders from miles away to take trade away from those in town who turn up on every other day and slog their guts out.

I suppose there is more profit for organisers in selling our traders down the river, though often those same organisers will then moan about the state of the town.

I'm sure shoppers visiting the half dead high street appreciate the new slabs. I'm sure the residents of Sandon Road think it was a better choice than solving their flooding issues.
The money used for the Market Square was a government grant that could only be used for that purpose. Not for fixing potholes on the roads or fixing the flooding on Sandon Road or expecting the council to pay all the shop tenants rents and rates or anything else the locals seem to moan about all the time on Facebook groups.

Does she?
Seems to do an awful lot of self promotion.

To be fair, if someone is in that position then self promotion is part of the job.

They need to promote themselves first in order to promote whatever it is that they are about and to let people know what’s what.
It’s all part of the business that they are in.

Something about having some guys cosplaying Men in Black as your security feels very… “showy”

Then again the Mayor role is basically just for show anyway.

Some of us remember the fuss when 'our own' Mayor of Stafford described the Mayor of Shrewsbury as looking like a villain from Superman 2.

Just to note every business at the event on Saturday were local so your point is completely invalid. Unfortunately people like you are what give Stafford such a bad name by not supporting events trying their best!

I do so apologise. Are you the organiser perchance?
