Aka maple syrup diet aka lemonade diet .
(no food just a mixture of maple syrup , water , lemon and cayenne pepper.)

I have done the master cleanse a few times before .last time i lost 1.9 stone in 8 days. I regained about 3 pound after (water weight).

So today is day 1 of my diet. I want to lose about 3 stone. I aim to fast for at least 10 days to kick start my weight loss then i will move to a low calorie diet . I will do the master cleanse once a month for minimum of 10 days until i acheive my goal weight.

Anyone care to join me ? :D

Is that all you have for 8 days? I have heard of this but imagine it will be no good for me (maple syrup + diabetes = bad times). I'm interested to know more though...

I am about to re-embark on my no-carbs diet though (or however many I can fit into only 1200 calories a day), tonight is my last decent carby meal - I'm not sure how much I need to loose though, I just want to 'drop a dress size' - & we don't own any scales so I'm off out in a bit to find some in town.

I found the 'my fitness pal' app a great help last year, & I'm going to tag @Gadget as I know she must have some great tips etc....

I'm way too impatient! I need to be able to see a big weight lost within a week or I'll just lose motivation and order an Indian :). I will eat healthily after my fast . I find it alot easier this way . After a week of fasting I don't crave fatty foods . I crave fruit and veg :)

It cant be healthy to do it that way @Alee

Its common knowledge that people who lose weight very quickly put it back on.

I agree with @That-Crazy-Rat-Lady ....instead of fasting, eat sensibly most of the time.
I also have friends that swear by the 5.2.

*Sigh The evil weighing machine in Tesco says that since I started eating carbs at the beginning of November I've managed to put on 10lb :embarrass:

So that means I need to get rid of 2 & 1/2 STONE (!!!!) to get back to my ideal suggested weight... :embarrass: :embarrass:

Its going to be a long few months.....

Ha! Nope but you can guarantee according to some fat shamers (who I welcome to actually say it to my fist...I mean face) I shall still be fat and a 'dreadful drain on the nhs' The fact is my current health probs have bugger all to do with my weight, frozen shoulder anyone? My blood pressure, cholesterol etc is damn near perfect as always. Ah well, tar everybody and brush come to mind.

@Gadget totally empathise with you there! Over the last year I've dropped from a 50" waist to around 38" (don't check weight, only measurements). Even at my heaviest I was still generally healthy regards to blood pressure/cholesterol etc. Problem is I'm hitting the plateau now where my general frame is large enough that I'll never be 'slim'.

i need the toilet every 20 minutes which is starting to get annoying . I'm now at least 7 pound lighter ( clothes on ) than yesterday morning ( naked) , no doubt is water weight of course.

I took dog out lunch time , I was full of energy on the way to the park then basically had to drag myself home
