"Proposed Retail Use
Triple Jersey Limited has recently acquired the wider Kingsmead site from LXB RP (Stafford 2) Limited.
The new aspirations for the retail development include for the largest unit on the site to be sub-divided
to form three separate A1 retail units. For the purposes of this application these units are referred to as Units 3, 4 and 5.
The two smaller standalone units which complete the retail development on the site, and which do
not form the subject of this application, are referred to as Units 1 and 2.
The supermarket operator originally identified to occupy the building has removed their interest. As a
consequence there is a need to attract alternative retailers to the development.
Work is ongoing to secure retailers to occupy the proposed units to be created within the sub-divided
building. B&M have now been secured as tenants for Unit 3. It is intended that Unit 5 will be occupied
by a discount food retailer. A further retailer operating within the A1 use class will operate from Unit 4."
So this to me looks like B&M is now going to be taking part of the sub-divided unit rather than on of the smaller units on North Walls. A discount retailer could be the one that is going to be inconvenienced by the Western Relief Road?
