BTW The Moto Razr was one of the best phones ever made. How many other 5 year old phones still look sexy?

I lent mine to shoes, I guess he didn't like it!

It served it purpose as a phone but thats about it. Not that I'm not grateful for you helping me out mate, its still not a great device IMO.

well, someone didn't read the link lol..

"droid" is a series of phones from US carrier verizon.. much like the "G" series from t-mobile (whereby the T-Mobile G2 is actually an HTC Hero)..

so what we have thus-far been referring to as the "motorola droid" is actually the "motorola sholes".. the htc desire will be another phone adopted by verizon into this range, and badged the "droid eris"..

basically.. it's all the fault of the phone networks wanting to "add value" and differentiate their products.. e.g. the htc dragon will be called the "passion" on verizon in the US..

Cocks, why not just call it by its actual name. I can see it now, get the Orange Felcher, not available on any other network, but t-mobile have the same phone but called the t-mobile lemonparty. Really makes no sense.

I suppose thats one thing apple have, its one product. Admittedly one product that will change every year, but its just the iphone.

I was just about to jump in and get a Hero... now not sure what to do.....

HTC HD2 is out soon but is bound to be stupidly expensive for months anyway...... but then tying myself into my first ever 18 month contract I will be insanely jealous with everything new coming out and Android 2.0

Same here. Due a new phone, want an android, but now I want a droid 2.0! Gonna wait a month I think, had this phone about 18 months already and don't mind it so doesn't really matter. Would rather be able to get the phone I want, than its lil brother and be jealous

What phone you sporting at the moment tek? I have a Nokia 6210 Navigator which is ok but my tariff is crap at the mo so internet costs me 50p a day....

I suppose for me its as much about getting the Hero WITH an unlimited data plan as it is simply getting the hero.

For £22 a month I suppose I can't really complain.... having Shop Savvy could save me that much a month anyway

Did you mix your phone models up there?!?! Or are you saying that they are "virtually the same phone" which they probably are aside from GPS.

Not bothered about Qwerty myself, don't text that much, all my fave websites will be shortcuts so not much typing to be done to justify the extra bulk.

The other slight concern is the size and chin of the phone when in my pocket.... will it look stupid / be uncomfortable in a jeans pocket?

I used to have a 6210 (never remember what happened to it) but it was an absolutely stonker of a phone, virtually indestructable.

Just ordered 5 of the Nokia E71's for work, they're due to arrive tomorrow, looking forward to having a play with them.
