I seem to have heard that thirty five years ago. So we got the SDP and continuous Tory government, under various names, ever since.

To be fair, though, that is what the electorate do want.

Its a sad state of affairs that for once i feel i really have no one to vote for :(

Corbyn will continue to drag down labour for many years unless ousted , he's not a leader , just someone who was put in place to force the party to the extreme left.
Although a much better alternative to the Tories , i cant see the country lasting long if its to be ran like Venezuela .

The Tories , i could never and will never vote for that bunch of money grabbing scumbags , my reasons have been made so many times on this forum so i wont bore you with the details.

Lib Dems ? ... After selling themselves to the Tories they will need another 100 years to get close to what they was 5 years ago... if the new independant group form a party , they will actually be higher ranking than the Lib Dems lol.

Its not what i want , its what i feel has to happen.

Sold out to Ulster Nut Jobs.

Selling out is the fashion in recent times.

It appears to have become a rite of passage for politicians.

The fact that people want to believe that the UK Labour Party is extreme left and will turn the place into a model of Venezuela is a good reason for continuing to vote Tory.

The Labour Party hasn't been to the left of Ted Heath on very many things for the last thirty five years.

It doesn't matter what they call themselves, they are still the same 650 despicable arrogant thicktwats .

They need replacing in total, not rebranded

Actually, Political Parties becoming illegal and punishable by immediate imprisonment would make things a little more interesting

That, and to stand for election you need to have had a job for 5 years plus 1 year volunteering in an NHS hospital.

A very decent wage is fine, but zero supplementary income or benefits during your time in office related to political connections, and for ten years afterwards would be punishable by deportation to Middlesbrough

You really know that you've been on a ride when Oliver Letwin takes you to the bridge and you're good with it.

Tomorrow i think i might eat three Shredded Wheat and Tweet The Frog just to see if Staffordshire explodes.

Everything is risky now.

The only reason The Palace of Westminster and its contents haven't been attacked en masse is that when you get there with your rolling pin and best friend ready to coup, you are struck incapable by the sheer magnificence of Pugin's work. It knocks the pugilism out of you.

Move Parliament to the telephone exchange Stafford and we might get our revolution

This is Lefroy's voting record on the fiasco today - I'll admit that I've given up trying to even understand what these morons are pretending to be trying to do now...

  • For Common Market 2.0: Remaining in the European single market and seeking a temporary customs union with the EU (Nick Boles' proposal - 188 for, 283 against)
  • For EFTA and EEA: Remaining in the European single market but not forming a customs union with the EU (George Eustice's proposal - 65 for, 377 against)
  • For Customs union: Seeking a UK-wide customs union with the EU (Ken Clarke's proposal - 264 for, 272 against)
  • Did not vote Labour's alternative plan: Negotiating changes to the withdrawal agreement so that it includes protections to workers' rights, a permanent customs union, and close alignment to the single market (Jeremy Corbyn's proposal - 237 for, 307 against)
