I am 100% a bah humbug and all that jazz type of person, keep Christmas till the middle of December. I do love the season, but there's an awful lot of overkill, and so many of my acquaitances put the trees etc up far too early.
But, I bought a large set of multi coloured solar lights for the tent, I ain't going camping in this weather, so thought I'd bung them up in my bedroom window, add a bit of cheer to my seriously dull life.
I trotted to Wilkos (Missing that shop already) yonks ago, bought a 4 pack of large Command Hooks. Taken till today for me to have a proper noz at them, ( I don't ever rush at anything) they look strong. Wiped round the window, made sure the surface was lovely and clean, and dry.
Threaded said set of lights up, 200 biggish globe multi coloured solar lights, stood back and admired my handiwork, I'd give mesen a pat on the back but I'm fat and my arms won't reach.
Went to spend a penny, came back in the room, the hooks had decided the lights were too heavy, popped off and everything was in a heap on the floor!
They've gone back in the box and are ruddy staying there till we go camping next year now.

Just looked at the Tesco christmas ad that Tesco sent by email for a 'sneak preview' .......in my opinion bloody crap and stupid, couldn't see the point of it , and found it hard to keep watching til the end. (Hubby always records everything and deletes the ads , so I never usually get to see the christmas ads, but if that's what I'm missing he can carry on deleting merrily away!. )
There's something wrong with anything that needs to be advertised.

I was in Liverpool yesterday, no idea which bit mind. Spawn3 and her podcast team were filming a segment for a charity advert for Level Playing Field https://www.levelplayingfield.org.uk Their next campaign is to highlight making sport more accessible for those with invisible disabilities such as grounds putting in more sensory boxes, making headphones available, maybe a separate area. Pictorial literature available etc. It was an interesting experience. The hair and makeup part was the highlight of Spawn3's day. We got to meet Darren Harris, who is really lovely and on the way home we stopped off at Wrexham and were lucky enough to bump into Paul Mullin as he was coming out, the lads got a picture and he agreed to be a podcast guest. So quite a productive day. Nice drive through Much Wenlock and Wales too.

This is a charity who are aiming to make sport accessible for the disabled. Be it ramps for wheel chairs and changing spaces in toilets, to commentary via headphones for the visually impaired, sensory boxes so neuro diverse fans aren't so overwhelmed by the crowds and the noise that they can enjoy what they went to watch etc. Disabled people are sports fans but many are excluded from the experience of watching live sports simply because they cannot safely or easily access the grounds.
It's bugger all to do with the government and their chuck money at towns, but do it in such a way, most of the money cannot be spent so must be returned schemes.

It's interesting really, considering the massive cuts to disability benefits they have coming in.

I have managed to synchronise a powerline adaptor into the network here, it being from a different set.

The use of 'Simpler' in the name, and the presence of just a single button to manipulate on each, does lead you to suspect that it's a fairly easy process.

51kdayQdDwL._SR600%2C315_PIWhiteStrip%2CBottomLeft%2C0%2C35_PIStarRatingFOURANDHALF%2CBottomLeft%2C360%2C-6_SR600%2C315_ZA9%2C445%2C290%2C400%2C400%2CAmazonEmberBold%2C12%2C4%2C0%2C0%2C5_SCLZZZZZZZ_FMpng_BG255%2C255%2C255.jpg

I have done one before, but it seems a very easy process to get wrong and I took the precaution of having the sequence of actions available as I attempted to do it. This 'simple' process took all of half an hour, including synching the current adaptor to the non-system one and then having to resynch that one, so that I could synch the new one to the right system.

It all seems to be working now.

I hope.

A terrible end to my day today in having to rush Charlie cat to the vets to be put to sleep, unexpectedly, things can change so quickly in the space of a few hours, I started the day with a fit healthy 6yr old cat, & ended the day holding him in my arms while he was put to sleep .

To lift up my sad last post, the majority of my day was great. (Till I got home).

Sainsbury's now has Deliveroo & (from tomorrow) Just Eat.

I got to be in charge of it today, really nice to do something different.

Please can you all place orders, we only had one between 7am & 3.30pm today! (Yes I know it's the first day...but Deliveroo only charge 49p delivery! Bargain).

To anyone that ends up in this same situation with your pet...

When you take your pet (family member) to be put to sleep, this is what happens....

You and pet have a vet consultation, in Charlie's case it was decided that the best option was to be put to sleep. They ask if you would like to have the pet cremated, take them home, or leave them at the surgery. I chose to bring Charlie home.

Charlie went with the vet to have his paw shaved, & a (?) Cannula inserted into the vein.

Charlie came back to me in the vets room, I had the options of holding him in his carrier, but I chose to pick him up & cuddle him while the vet administered the drugs into the cannular...

The drugs are like a overdose of anaesthetic ...Charlie layed his head on me, did not seem to be in any pain. It was very quick, the pets eyes do not close. The vet then checks again for a heartbeat. We then wrapped him in his blankets for me to bring home.

All the ladies at vets 4 pets were amazing....I cried like a bawling child thorough the whole visit, & they were great.

I just hope this helps someone else who is faced with the same decision.

A terrible time for you.
Just try to remember all you did for him over the years right to the end.

So sorry for your loss, and dreading the day it happens to mine. Ollie was back in last night, dropping him off for tests today which he won't like as I won't be with him.
