In Ye Old Rose and Crown,( brewery tap) for the first time for about 40 years.

Best pub so far tonight, but surprised the difference to my old times in here 40 odd years ago .Used to be a bikers pub then..

Stowford press going down well :pint:

Had a fantastic evening, with a random visit to a pub we haven't been to in 40+ years, met old friends we haven't seen for 20+ years? They were also visiting that pub for the first time

Got a feeling my head might be suffering in the morning...

Even weirder, son just sent a video of a 'silent' disco at 'Reading festival... They can't play music after 11pm , so lots of people wearing headphones singing and dancing together to their version of the music :D

Pissing down - potentially terminal cold really getting going - I haven't even opened the front door today.

Chicken soup and a toasted roll.

There may still be a possibility of survival.

Tomato soup is the way to go in these dark times. ...

*Chicken soup is for when youve been poorly & need something more substantial thanTomato, but not as chunky & lumpy as Vegetable.

Ambulances are for life threatening emergencies only!

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
You weren’t there so how do you know that the injury wasn’t life threatening?

I would expect to be criticised on arrival at A&E, if I elected to transport a child with a (potentially) broken limb there myself these days.

My practice in these situations is to always give them the option to attend and decide for themselves. In almost all cases, so far, this has resulted in the person that I have had a concern about being removed in an ambulance, either straight away or eventually.

The only time that it was suggested that I provide the transport was when I discovered that somebody was several days in front on his Warfarin pills and had no real idea when he had taken them all.
