Had a good old fashioned cheese & onion cob , with a pint of Hogan's cider in a good old fashioned pub at lunchtime.

Now in a lovely hotel room getting ready for tonight's meal and night out, and looking forwards to meeting sons new girlfriend for the first time :) .Got to be on my best behaviour...

Weekend away to celebrate me and hubby meeting 40 years ago tomorrow .

Then ( hopefully not too hungover) a free 3 course Sunday lunch tomorrow in the hotel with the loyalty points I've built up :D.
Followed by another night out, but on our own tomorrow night as son will be working :pint::bananafunk::monkeydance:

Exactly like that...had to look again , thought you was in the same pub ... Then remembered our beer mats were black .

Was going to put our photo on.....then remembered I'm a thicko in that dept and don't know how to do it.

Can't really meet sons new girlfriend in a bit by commandeering son to " do my phone for me" like I usually do.....

After being out for 3 consecutive nights in a row, we’re excited to have a quiet night in.

Prosecco opened and pyjamas on, just deciding what TV to watch.

When I was at sea, (why does that sound familiar … like … "Duurrring the Woooar" ) when we had visited a port and a day or two after sailing away over the horizon and somebody came into the bar and said: "I'll just have a tonic water …" we'd all go:

"Oh yeah, a tonic water !!! ….. ANTIBIOTICS EH !!! …. so where did you go on your run ashore … ??" :teef:

Wondering why cars aren't being allowed down towards southwalls caroarks and being directed away by an attendant on main road.

Darent look too nosy asking the official looking person ...

Managed a 4.5 mile wander along the Tissington trail. No hip pain once again :)

Weather didn't clear up as forecast but still a nice flattish walk.

Had to finish off with a caramel apple pie at a Peak district coffee shop (only to get my sugars back up again, you understand).

Hope I can stay awake to watch the footy tonight.

So after failing to negotiate a 1 in 25 climb to the Peel memorial with my gammy hip we went to the East Lancs steam railway. Then got a train to Irwell Vale station and walked back nearly 3 miles with 3 nice pubs en route.

Now in the Irwell brewery sampling the local fare and jolly nice it is too.

Going to beat that Peel memorial route in the morning before going to Haydock races, I will not be beaten again!!! I hope :)

Enjoying a drop of red.
1400 miles and 2 days to our Easter destination and not a drop of petrol or diesel consumed by the car.

I on the other hand nearly popped down the local filling station to our overnight stop to down a couple of litres of unleaded as it would probably have been a better option than what passes for red wine at the hotel...

Spontaneous night out down the town. Luckily had already showered and washed my hair before the phone call to get myself to the bus stop by 10 minutes time....arrived with twisted trousers and eye make slung on, but having a great night :)
