Just got to paint it now. I hope I've got enough paints as Hobbycraft's not open.

Rolls Royce with a Vickers. At the battle of Amiens they proved their worth. Sadly the German Army learned more from that lesson than did the British Army … which proved a brutal facet of the early stages of World War Two.

Yesterday I finished making one of these (a Russian Austin-Putilov). It's probably the worst model I've ever made. No instructions and poorly designed parts. A blogger that made the model described it thus ... "In conclusion, I'm sorry to say, the poor quality molding of the many parts, and the lack of an assembly sequence makes building this kit a torturous, frustrating and irritating process which ultimately doesn't seem worth the effort."

Got bitten, slept for a day, now it's red and swollen with goo coming out. 111 say get yer ass to a clinic, didn't exactly plan a day trip to Stoke for Easter but I'm getting one anyway!

Hope you’re feeling better today.

Use that Avon skin so soft or one of those “magic” wrist bands next time you venture out :)

Or just drink more to immunise yourself if you get bitten again.

When it's painted, so a few days away. As it wasnt the best model ever, and as I'm not a very good modeller, there's way more glue showing and gaps between parts than there should be. So I'm hoping painting it will hide a multitude of sins. In the meantime, there's this .... http://minutementoysoldiers.blogspot.com/2015/06/austin-putilov-armoured-car-by-strelets.html
Something I have always wanted to do but have had a tremor in my hands all my life so any modelling would bring about hilarious results.

Fearing our TV will never work right again . Hubby has discovered the old Mega Drive which has been hidden away in the cupboard for years with leads which worked with old ancient TV but not meant for this modern one.....

Edit: Phew.. after him trying both main TV and sons old TV which he left here in his bedroom, hubby's admitted defeat and it's now back in the cupboard.

Now just hoping he doesnt realise there's a PS2 & PS3 stored away upstairs as well..

Celebrating our 41st anniversary of first meeting and going out together. :D Always celebrate this date more than our anniversary. (A night in with my homemade Chicken Korma this time though , rather than the usual celebratory meal out)

Wondering what I would have been doing now if those coaches hadn't come from West Brom for an Easter night out at the Grot (Top of the World) , and that chance meeting at the bar in the Grapes (my second home ) before meeting up again inside The Grot.

Good haul when doing an essentials shop at Tesco today

£6 for 3 Lindor large eggs and an absolutely massive bastard of a Thornton’s egg that’s usually like £20

Pretty happy with myself there. Had to stop myself as given the current climate I felt I’d get mobbed if I took what I’d take under normal circumstances...

Can't even sit in the garden and relax after work as one lot of neighbours up the Rd is having a shouting match with their neighbours, and another lot of the other side are smoking the most awful smelling weed....

.... And when did I become such a grumpy old woman....

A mundane fact from yesterday ...

At around 11:30/12:00 there was no queue at the Co-Op on Wildwood. Having had to queue each time at the one at Bodmin Ave shops, I might start driving across to Wildwood (or walking if my shopping's not too heavy).

Unfortunately they didn't have any flour or yeast, but Hindle's on Bridle Road did have plain flour, so quite a successful sortie.

Had to be brave and visit the building society to get sons money out with (luckily) pre-signed form and passbook and put in his bank instead so that he can access funds . Sourced cider supplies spotting a small and completely empty shop , apart from the one shop keeper, on the walk back to the car . Much needed after receiving the sad news that lovely 'fuss cat' that I used to help look after for several years had passed away last night :(

Then the excitement of receiving my farm shop and Hindles Butchers deliveries and seeing what's in the bags and boxes. (Luckily ordered milk from both as none available from the farm shop this time) Lemon Meringue ice cream sent amongst the goodies this time :)
