After sleeping with the house lights on all last night....
Seems I was right to he scared upstairs in the pub loos on my own ( or not on my own...) in this pub last night.
Different staff on tonight and overheard barmaid saying " Oh no, I'm scared" when being told to do a toilet check. I asked this manager if haunted up there...." Yes, but nothing to worry about, we're all down here " :o
Said I can use the men's downstairs loos if I'm too scared to go back up tonight.

Don't know what's more scary now.... Risking another ghostly encounter, or daring to go in the gent's

You’ll be fine in the gents just don’t breathe in too deeply, & definitely don’t buy any of that chewing gum from the machines. It’s just like chewing rubber.
So many blokes using it, I took my chances upstairs..heart racing now, never been so quick
No strange happenings so far ...
Came bursting back through the door into the bar to all the staff waiting for me

Told me " Honestly, we're all used to it now. But you use the gent's ..."

Might give a few gent's even more of a scare :D

Just get them to put R Dean Taylor on and add "public" in between "my" and "house".

Are you in the King Charles by any chance?

I used to love that record back in the day.

No, was in there the first 3 nights. Only thing in there I saw scary was some of the locals intent on fighting everyone before they were swiftly moved on...

Getting dark now. Stinky gent's it might have to be...

You do realise there's no such thing as ghosts don't you?
Keep telling me that...drinking so much cider there's a few more rickety stair climbing visits to go yet!

At least I found out the latest sudden hissing noise, and smell of perfume experienced latest venture upstairs was the automatic air freshener dispenser ( as I descended the stairs in record time with wet hands after foregoing the hand drier)

Well, hold my breath and roll my trouser legs up ( to avoid the puddles) it was !

Might have to be braver after that gent's loo experience, and get the barmaid to come to the ladies with me next time

Suddenly finding everywhere around here adding 25p extra onto Chip & Pin transactions for 'charity donation' (which can be requested to be taken off if you notice)

For small shops contactless must be quite crippling. About 25p transaction fee plus a % of the sale.
This is the big shops like Samuels etc , and not on contactless but when you have to put chip & pin in. It says on the chip & pin machine 'donation to charity' yet the shops can't tell you what charity (all the assistants weren't even aware it was doing it )

Most places around here won't accept cash at all , even for very small amounts (except for the ice cream kiosk which only takes cash . Only place I've had to get my purse out of my bag )

I always feel guilty if paying for small amounts by card , and used to pay mostly cash for everything before most stopped accepting it, but since these Covid days that's all most are accepting.

My boss in the bakery where I worked (hadn't got a card machine) , had to pay the bank to pay in his takings in cash and cheques.

I was suprised when working in GEC , to find out GEC had to pay charges for the ATM machine when it was installed by LLoyds inside the premises. (Installed when everyone started to get their wages paid into the bank insead of a weekly cash pay packet )

Don't know who was the most scared on tonight's brave adventure to the spooky ladies loo...
Me , or the ' lost' man who appeared outside the loo door . He apologized when I let out a blood curdling scream
