Today I have been swimming in the sea. In England.
My testicles have retreated to somewhere toward my kidneys at the very bone-shivering thought of it.

I was once, probably unwisely, put in charge of watching over an infant on a beach somewhere not much south of Dunbar. I know that's actually Scotland, but i'm not entirely convinced that there is a more 'inviting' sea anywhere around the British Isles. To put it into context, i find the Mediterranean Sea a bit too 'nippy' for me.

I'd like to think that, had it been called for, i'd have summoned up the necessary to plunge into that nightmarish ice cave to save the child.

To this day i'm really not sure i could have done it - luckily it remains an hypothetical.

In my heart of hearts i'm fairly sure i would have sacrificed the fecker to save myself.

I have had my first insect bite of this year. I actually saw him (or, more likely, her) doing it. Really tiny, hardly a millimetre long, but it's been quite a 'good' bite.

Yeahhhhhh, but we'd all jump in to save the little puppy dog.

A ladybird bit me on Saturday, a blooming ladybird, an orange harlequin ladybird.

A Horse fly attempted to (mostly did) bite me today, despite the fact I was covered in stinking Avon skin so soft........mabe theyve become immune to it....

Enjoying a drop of red.
Walked from Arroyo de la Miel thru' Torremolinos and return couple of cold ones en-route.......
Cycled along the cycle path on Foregate Street and got told by a bloke who refused to get out of the way to get off my f*cking bike as I was breaking the law.

Dick!

Happens all the time. It's why I rarely use "cycle paths".
This was followed by a woman with a pram, pushing it in the middle of the Isabel Line refusing to move to the side even though I asked her very politely. I had to get off and walk past as there wasn't enough room with her in the middle to cycle past safely and even then the bitch tutted at me.

As I say, standard practice.

I taught a history lesson today.
We played Tudor Tinder.
Made Tinder profiles for Henry VIII's wives (obvs)
I walked in on a group of lads arguing over which wife was the most 'peng' (sexy)
This was based on their c.1500 portraits...
One lad proclaimed in a loud voice:
'Nah mate Anne Boleyn is the best - she's well fit - she's got a necklace!'

I refrained from commenting that if those were his dating expectations then he would do well with the ladies.....

A pearl necklace perchance?....

May i just say that that is a fantastically good idea.

Anne was a strange fish - everybody agreed that she was incredibly alluring, but nobody could quite say why...

In terms of purest 'peng', one would imagine that Catherine Howard is a shoe-in.

Catherine Parr was the least lucky, but most lovely, woman in the whole of English history.

... Arroyo de la Miel .....
Click on this link...

See the chap with his arms crossed behind his back in the white T-shirt?
Buy some chicken there - and more importantly buy some patatas al ajillo there.

See that purple awning to the left after the Pharmacia sign?
Next door to that is the best pasteleria you could hope for - ask for fartons...

And if you can't be arsed to cook, but would like to eat some 'home cooked' Spanish shizzle without going out - Para Llevar = Take Away - El Asador, highly recommended.
