Awww, I'm actually quite touched. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, we all need some joy in our lives grab some where you can I say. It's safe to say it's one of my favourites. Not only is it celebrating all that is supernatural, our ancestors etc but it's also Spawn3's birthday and the day before my wedding anniversary. There are horror films everywhere too and I love those.
All followers of Faith are slightly bonkers, I'm the first to admit it. Magic Man in the sky, cat headed women (Bast, Sekhmet) elephant men (Ganesh) sounds insane doesn't it lol. As long as no one is forcing anyone to believe or not believe and it's not hurting themselves or anyone, else away you go, enjoy.
Freedom is what it boils down to :D

That's why on the rare occasions I've worn a dress and tights I've always worn a pair of big knickers over the top of my tights to hold it all up.

I'm just a bit worried I will be featured in the local news , flashing all as I couldn't hitch em back up through my dress as I crossed the Severn Bridge. So in desperation had to resort to yanking it all up by having my dress around my waist :embarrass::roll: It was either that or walking with them around my ankles ....

Had a go at performing keyhole surgery with the actual instruments used in some of the initial operations performed.

Thankfully ( or hopefully) my patient was already dead, as I would have soon killed them off ...

Got great respect for the surgeons doing it for real !

    Moved here, as more mundane.

@@age'd parent remembers when it was fields.
    And before the air-raid shelters...

I assumed he'd remember when it were all glaciers round ere.

This reminded me of a winter when I was about 4 years old about
1948/50, when dad had to use the coal shovel to dig his way through
the snow covering the front door when we lived at at Hyde lea, not
quite glacial but we couldn't get to town till the snow plow dug the lane out.

I'm just having a quiet moment.

People have now all gone from our "Fireworks, Food and Fizz" evening.

I think it went well, people came early and stayed late.

I've spent yesterday and today prepping, cooking, and presenting food for 26 people.

It was lovely but I'm now officially exhausted.

Caravan departed to pastures new at the end of September and the new campervan arrived last week. Had a trial run in it last night in readiness for its heavy use ahead. I'm very happy to report the heating works.

Yeerrrggh. Yesterday pretty much didn't exist as far as I was concerned. Probably grandson picked up a bug from nursery, produced a string of revolting nappies on Thursday when we look after him. Daughter & son-in-law were laid low on Friday and wife & I yesterday. A bit like norovirus but in some ways worse. Still feel weak & dizzy today. Watch out, there is a bug about.

I got roped into a belated Romanian birthday party today - it involved copious quantities of home-distilled vodka* - I may try to avoid posting too much for the rest of the day.

Tough crowd today - felt a bit responsible because I'd sort of sold my shtick to them to get the gig.

Think it worked out ok, got good feedback but wasn't massively convinced it wasn't of the 'polite' kind.

Would love to delve into the Facebook/Twitter dynamics of the aftermath - pointers to how to?

My crocheted poppies that I make for my parents to sell along with the regular poppy things are going so well i'm struggling to keep up. They've sold about 100 now. Yesterday I helped out and they were literally buying them fresh from the hook. Whilst i'm really pleased they are raising money for a good cause, I wish my other creations would sell. Would come in very handy for Christmas.
